Is internet connection required to use this application?

Yes. But most people, including 90% of Thais, are simply using the QRcode combined with the website, which I would recommend. Internet required for that as well.

A lot of people seem to just write their name and phone number on the paper list so you don't need to use the app.

 

Personally I turn the phones data connection on as I get out of the the car when I arrive, then I use the QR code scanner every time I enter a different store in the mall.

 

When I'm ready to leave I 'check out' of the mall by scanning yet another QR code then turn the data connection off again.

 

The whole thing is a complete waste of time.

It's easy to use, takes seconds, I won't be using if there is a second wave though, I don't want to go in quarantine for 14 days and handed a big bill just because i was in the same building as someone with Covid

Oz have an App. Over 6 million take up and not 1 hit yet apparently!
