Police have arrested two men and a woman following the fatal shooting of a bar worker in Hua Hin on Thursday.

The victim, named as Ms Suthida, also known as Nong Mae, was tragically killed while working at the Gig & Jay bar located on Soi 112.

Nong Mae was working at the bar when two men approached on a blue Honda Click motorcycle on the opposite side of Soi 112 and fired at the bar.

Nong Mae, who was standing at the front of the bar with her back to the main road, was hit in the neck and back and despite being rushed to Hua Hin hospital, died a short time later.

It was a tragic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

On Saturday, police announced the arrest of a 36 year old Thai woman, named as Saifon, and two men, including a 19 year old Cambodian who police said was the gunman.

The shooting occurred following an altercation the previous weekend, which resulted in Saifon being refused entry to a private birthday party which was being held at the bar.

After that incident a gang of up to ten men returned to the bar to threaten the owners.

Saifon later paid the two men just 4,000 baht to shoot at the bar, which was intended as an act of intimidation.

However, the plan went tragically wrong, when the bullet hit Nong Mae, who was not involved in the altercation from the previous weekend.

Police said they are still hunting for the man who supplied the weapon.

On Saturday afternoon, friends and family of Nong Mae had placed flowers at the scene.

I used to live in Cha Am. Moving there was not a great idea. It did not take too long to figure it out. I moved out after 6 months. Cha Am and Hua Hin the same.
Something must be in their water or food !!! ????????????

Hua Hin needs a "Freddie Foreman", sort out the riff-raff, get them off the streets and into the smelter, straighten the place out a bit and restore some order!

They don't look particularly worried. Probably be released because her family is rich and has influence. It's a Red Bull Scenario

I'm certainly glad I'm back from my trip to Hua Hin.

What with the recent deadly shooting at Cha-Am.

I found it quite relaxed really.

No gunplay at all.
