Thank you, much appreciated, for the insurance required when joining a repat. flight to Bangkok did you buy all three elements: 3,200, 3,200 and 4,800.  I'm lost with this subject, I have Thai PR (waiting to return to Bkk), so i'm not sure which element applies to me.

This was only for information.
I wait on information from the Thai Embassy in Belgium.

The problem might be that things in a month or two could be worse than they are today.  No country is exempt from the virus.  If you leave you're taking a big gamble on being able to return......no matter the situation today

Absolutely yes... you will have to go through all the hurdles, and then hope it's enough.

A lot depends on your personal status which you don't mention... marriage/retired/children/work etc

I have to deal with legitimate staff travelling overseas and back at the moment and it is far from simple even for authourised travelers.

 

Simple answer is NO, on a non-O you will not be allowed back into Thailand any time soon.

It is not about the insurance, PCR tests, or the quarantine, or what you think, quite simply you are not in an allowed category, and until that changes you may have to wait many months to return.

List of Non-Thai nationals who are permitted to enter Thailand

I did receive a "Certificate of residence" already 20 times (car, driver license, bank, etc.) without having a "permanent" residence.

Maybe they should give it another name?

For some unknown reason you seem to not to want to face facts, you do NOT have everything you need, as of right now Thailand is currently not letting non-o visa holders back in to the country for retirement purposes, regardless of your re-entry permit.

There is a whole series of threads about this in TVF.

Based on today, you would have to reapply for a new non-OA visa in Belgium, then apply for the COE, you would have to be able to comply with all of the requirements for the OA visa and to be honest, I am not sure if they will issue one whilst you have the re-entry permit, this others will know better, or ask the Embassy.

Does anyone know that if you leave Thailand for a few weeks over Christmas and have the required visa Non Imm B, work permit and insurance elements in place to return. Is it possible to apply for a COE before you leave Thailand? Understand that quarantine is required on return to Bangkok and thats ok.

Who say that I want to re-enter Thailand on Retirement purposes?
That is not my question in thread #1.
I have a Thai child and I am the ONLY caretaker of the child according to the divorce papers.
There are lot more possibilities than only "retirement" which was anyway not the original question.
Why continue to be the "wise guy" when you are only preaching barstool wisdom?
I understand now why so many people stay steer of this group.
