Life- it's all a question of perspective- with the recent cold weather I've been humming the first words of this on the farm, welcoming the early morning glow and heat, but I know it won't be long before I'm cursing the same object as it makes my life uncomfortable from mid-morning to late afternoon!

Maybe not but it sure seems it's sliding that way lately.

As a schoolboy n the mid 60s at boarding school, our transistor radios were our connection to the outside world and sanity. Good tunes and powerful vocal delivery were everything. Luckily that time was full of both. Later on. late 60s, we started to buy stereo systems for 20 quid upwards...whoa!  Hendrix, Floyd. etc.

The only song ever with a pneumatic drill in the middle solo.

OK Bannork, you like the Beatles. As do I. Just giving Anthology another watch. Absolutely magic.

RIP: Phil Spector.  He may have morphed into a madman but there is nobody who shaped the 50s/60s music scene more than he did.

As Ronnie said, 'He made wonderful music but a terrible husband'.

How I love the opening riff

Another classic from the 80's , or actually it was released late 1979.

I liked the OMD sound and Enola Gay was the best for me.
