Access to data? They never had it, but as members of 45's cult, actual data is irrelevant. You simply make up what you need in their alternative universe.

Yes..an "imagined reality"...according to Yuval Noah Harari this has been a most powerful concept throughout the history of Homo Sapiens.

This "base" was cleverly targeted by the media gurus prior to the 2016 election and has been with us ever since.

The recruits to this "imagined reality" would include the usual suspects-extreme right wing christians, libertarians, the conspiracy groups and Martians..never,ever,forget the Martian influence..????

  • Sad times when people question the reliability of sites like WaPo.  And fall for the conspiracy theories on fake news websites.  Stunning.

  • I'm curious to know which excuse his supporters will find, this time.

I wonder "Why Georgia?" Even if he gets their electoral votes, Biden still wins.

Could it be he's trying to destroy the GOP? Is he trying to kill the GOP hopefuls in the runoff election?

He's a "Reality TV" star not a politician-responses to "tweets" are far more important than the GOP.

In a sense it's been a bit like 'The Truman Show' for four livelong years..

Who knows what's in his pretty old head? Maybe he thinks the precedent of corruptly flipping one state will create an avalanche? Georgia was the closest of the "contested" states. Or probably more likely, losing in Georgia and he DID lose in Georgia is especially humiliating to his self image. Georgia as in deep deep south supposedly reliably red Georgia.

Shan't be sorry to see the back of this idiot that's for sure, there can be no doubt that he has damaged American politics with his shenanigans, I hope they can recover.

With his mind bursts, who would know? Depending on time of day and his blood glucose levels I reckon.

Take the big MACS away please, proof positive they are not good for brain health, or cardiac conditions

Unfortunately he is just a manifestation of the rot that the republicans created.  America will limp along for many years until a literally starving underclass riots in the streets and true fascism replaces what's left of her dysfunctional democracy.   (Fascism is bad, just in case anyone doesn't know that.)

Trumps PR department won't miss him when he's gone. He must have been a bloody nightmare for them.

Just to qualify my emoji, I agree with you & can imagine these people having chuff charts on days left in office, breathing a big sigh of relief soon ????????

PR dept of WH is different from his private PR managers who are second rate hookers with neither the guts or fortitude to forego a quick buck. Or are used to being stiffed on accounts

They are possibly being paid from fradulently raised donation for his fund.

Nearly??...do you know something others don't? According to what I've seen today Pres. Trump lost by a large margin...EC 306 to 232, 81x106 to 74x106 votes (From the Associated Press election map)

I hope the US journalist will pay attention to what else Trump is doing today. Because as bad as this phone call was, maybe it is only the smokescreen for something worse. With Trump nothing would surprise me.

1. The headline does say this is from the Washington Post.  That says a lot.

2. Where's the audio?

MSN, Sky News and as I write it is being aired on BBC News.  But as usual, Trumps fan base will be in total denial.

In reality this is right up there with Watergate and if the USA had any moral backbone left they should go after him with vigour.  However they prefer to sweep everything under the carpet these days.

I think you'll find that even his most ardent fans on TVF have fallen strangely silent.....:coffee1:

They are currently in consultation with trump central for deflection and talking points to respond to the subject matter at hand

And let's not forget: Over 74,000,000 Americans want(ed) 4 more years of the same.

The reason I now must state when asked my country of origin, “I was born in the US but have spent a decade outside the country” in order to distance myself. I can not defend nor protect the country where 74 million reject what I believe is the essence of being an American. I owe it to my forbearers not to denounce my citizenship although if Canada offered a clear exchange I would seriously consider.

My God.  Makes my head spin.  He should be taken out of office immediately.  Stunning anyone still supports his.  I just can't understand it.  I guess these people also believe the world is flat.

My thoughts since he was voted in. It doesn't matter what he does, what he says or how many laws he breaks, they still support him. I remember the first time I saw him speaking on TV, I thought he had no chance of winning the 2016 election and discounted him - he just seemed like a total idiot. That he was ever elected brings human rationality in to question.  However, populists often surface during hard times - its far easier to get people on their side.  The fact that Trump's campaign started during the worst recession in living memory was no coincidence - even if the US was well on its way out of it.

The damage Trump must have done to US society is surely massive? I wouldn't know, I'm not American but if the damage he's done to the US's image around the world is anything to go by, Biden has a hell of a lot of work to do.

Overboard 7 million more “fired” him. Still, I have to face that 74 million supported his continuing.

I think that's a bit unfair. I think they might be a little embarrassed and wondering what the hell is he doing. You would probably react similarly to anyone you might admire and then find some nasty 'skeleton in the cupboard', so to speak. If someone gets caught on record doing/saying something there isn't much point in trying to refute it, is there.

I suspect they will be scouring the internet for some "Trumped" up excuses and claims of Fake News!

This is what does baffle me, that so many Americans, with the world's worst death toll and case numbers by a country mile, could vote for the person who contributed to said numbers, in no small way.

The American working middle class flailing out at anything and everything in their justified frustration/anger. The madness will continue unless/until the underlying issue of economic imbalance is brought back to a better balance.

this is a scary guy, he can do a lot of bad to the country, he has nothing to loose,
