It's nice to have a news article suggesting the Q-Anon nutters are all wigged out in the wake of Trump's unceremonious ouster...

 

But here's the unfortunate reality that remains -- the U.S. remains filled with hordes of heavily armed right-wing extremist militia types, white nationalists, neo-Nazis etc etc., including sizable numbers of those folks with past U.S. military training.

 

Q-Anon is just one part of a very dangerous dynamic that remains in place in the U.S. as a threat to its system of democracy. The fact that the Q-Anon lunacy didn't come to pass doesn't somehow mean all those other would-be insurrectionists have changed their stripes.

I don't know the particular figures from these states, but at the US level, poverty declined under Clinton, increased under Bush, and started to decline from 2010 under Obama after the shock of the 2008 crisis was absorbed.

A lot of people in the poorer states are turning to drugs, dropping out of school, and getting on the dole.  Not sure what you are on about.  Definitely not ignored.

in some ways, Trump is lucky to escape the next 4 years, the economic fallout of COVID is going to be difficult to manage, and that's going to have a lot of angry people looking for a new leader for their solution
