Yes, i think i should harden up a bit as i think its wrong for people to lie and get away with it like your hero. So many proven lies and even incitement to violence. I feel those things are wrong. 

 

I feel lies should be combatted and people who lie often should be branded as such (figuratively).

The economy in the US, which has been devastated. Especially restaurants. Dine in. Dine out. Cannot make up our minds. Sorry, you just spent $60,000 in remaining savings to adapt your restaurant to outdoor dining. That is closed now too.

 

And the most fascinating stat of all, is Florida. The state is nearly completely open. Yet, the Covid rate is comparable to NY state, which is locked down. Southern California is nearly locked down, and the numbers are soaring. Figure that one out. At the risk of saying something totally not PC, I would say most of the narrative with regard to Covid, is either fake, incorrect, misleading or scientifically flawed. Hard to know exactly what is going on, but it does not appear to be as advertised. 

 

And here, in my opinion many more businesses were shut down, that were required to contain Covid. And the truly astonishing aspect of this, that few seem to be discussing, is that this could have been at least partly avoided, had Prayuth and Anutin, two stunningly incompetence men, taken action early, and decisively. Instead, the whole country is made to suffer the consequences of inaction, of not locking down ground zero, Samut Sakorn (just a relatively small section of the province, actually) the first day of the second outbreak. It is beyond comprehension. It should have been locked down like a maximum security penitentiary. Cordoned off. Nobody comes in or out. And can anyone guess why it wasn't? It is one of the largest seafood distribution centers in Thailand, and it would have meant the loss of a small fortune, for some. So, it came down to sacrificing a large fortune, and the nations economy, for a relatively small out of money, coming from those seafood sales. Nothing else makes sense. No other explanation means anything, or comes close to breaking down why this action as not decisively taken. Sure, the main market was closed. But, people were allowed to travel freely, and become super spreaders. Just incredibly dumb policy and a nearly unforgivable lack of action.

Its interesting you have to resort to straw man arguments and ad hom deflections when this is all just a simple matter of personal beliefs. 

 

You should have every right to call liars, liars and have every right to get all flustered when people you dont like use their words but you shouldn't be going around trying to punish or silence them because you cant control your emotional ties to your beliefs/worldview.

one of the benefits of free speech is that views that may not be in line with the facts have the light shined on them and can be refuted. Or even just having people realize that the person saying them is a nutter and to disregard it.

 

One aspect of a free society is that people are allowed to make mistakes and even be dead wrong.

Once you start censoring people based on ideas, the inevitable outcome is someone with authority can decide that your ideas need censoring....

 

you can censor the words of those that you dont like out of existence, this then turns into censoring right-thinking folk those who arent sufficiently right thinking, as occurred in the french revolution and many socialist/communist societies in the past.

I would think all those who cannot accept the reality of Covid should be banished to a large island where they can all spout their "opinions" to each other ad infinitum.  ???? 

Best for Thailand would be to convert several old hotels into insane asylums to sequester these people,  who have lost touch with reality.

These straight loons dont influence "masses" thats just what you believe is happening. Most covid discussion revolves mostly around people, like you say, getting fed up with the situation itself, or politicians throwing their nuts into it and picking winners and losers. No, two very different things. The droplets that exit your mouth, most noticeably when you cough or sneeze, are too heavy to be borne by the air and quite quickly descend onto the surfaces directly around you. That is where the six foot rule comes from.

You cannot really work around airbourne transmission if the virus evolves to become more infectious.

You will see a subtle switch in focus over the coming weeks. Newspapers will start demanding that joggers and cyclists wear masks, while the already small number of people using public transport will diminish further. People will become more nervous about passing others on sidewalks, even when everyone is wearing a mask. It will all get a bit grim now in these last few months before vaccinations become generally available.
