If the origin countries for these visitors maintain an incoming quarantine period tourist numbers will remain low.

Here in the UK we are prevented from international travel anyway till mid May and have quarrantine on return from red zone countries. Europe is still gearing up vaccination programme. Thailand will decide when the time is right.

Pre-covid I booked a stay at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort.  It was to be an expensive luxury break. I have tried to resurrect the trip but get no replies as it now appears on the ASQL list.  They have my money but are not giving me what I paid for - is this Thainess going to encourage tourism?  I live permanently in Thailand!utrigge I

According to Swedish statistics, 70 percent of victims has been over 80 years old, 90 percent over 70 years old and 97 percent over 60 years old. This is a moral panic, the Karenists are in power. I'd bet those vaccines will cause more victims than COVID itself among people younger than 50! 

 

Vaccines always cause casualties due to adverse reactions and what not. It is not sensible at all to vaccine millions of younger people just because less than a thousand or so (most with other diseases already) died per 10 million.

Doubt Quarantine can be eliminated even with vaccinated tourists.  At present the approved vaccines have an efficacy of over 90 percent but the true numbers will be probably less.  At least for this year I see a shorter quarantine.  Currently those in Quarantine in Thailand get their first Covid 19 Test at Day 5.  The results come back on day 6 and those who are negative are allowed to leave their rooms on day 7. The most realistic quarantine policy for future is 7 days with a Covid 19 test at day 5 or 6.  Those who are negaitve then should be "freed".  

Can see black market ops making money producing fake covid certificates for sure.

Don't believe anything until officially denied.

So when I show my vaccinated certificate when I fly back in July, will  I still have to show I'm covered for $100,000 COVid-19 insurance? Does that make sense?

Thailand number one priority should  be to vaccinate as many of its own population as possible and then mull opening up for vaccinated people

You will still need a COE which requires a neg. test as you can still spread the virus even if vaccinated.

Vaccines are extremely profitable.

Pharmaceutical companies (and the politicians they have paid off), have wanted to implement a system whereby our freedoms are tied to our vaccination status for quite some time now.

Once "health passports" are in place, and your mobility rights can be tied to your vaccination status - pharma companies and their bought-off government shills can easily coerce you into rolling up your sleeve for as many injections as they want.

They can't even be sued for injuries/deaths either as they have a complete exemption from liability.

Quite the business model.

I can't believe so many "men" are willing to give up their right to bodily autonomy so easily.

It's so submissive and pathetic.

 

Obviously you have not been sick with Covid. If you had, then maybe you'd be singing a different tune.

If anything we have it even harder as there are no options for us to get the vaccine here at the moment whereas the UK is ploughing ahead with its vaccine programme & will soon have most of the posters on here demographic covered.

 

happy to pay for the vaccine but it’s simply not available to private patients for the foreseeable future .

 

 

 

 

Fantastic concept, however logistics to fruition may be difficult.   Need a unilateral  procedure to verify authenticity of vaccination.  As well, will all vaccines be accepted.

Yes, the elderly are more susceptible to dying from the Covid. However, if you don’t vaccinate everyone, how do you propose the young people stop spreading, infecting and killing the elderly over 60? Do you plan to never see your parents and friends over 60 again?

Who is “they?” It had been reported that the vaccine will reduce the severity greatly so that you don’t need to go to the hospital. It has also been reported that it is not known whether the vaccinated can still spread the virus. Tests are still being made.

 

Vaccinations for some viruses like yellow fever are already required to enter certain countries. How is this any different?
