Obviously attempted suicide with the brave policeman doing his utmost to help the poor individual... ????

I have no words for inhuman barbarity.

I've never fired a gun in my life but I would think it takes some skill not to kill someone point blank from 18 inches.

It's my opinion, that many Thai men take the smallest things personal at times.

The cop will likely Wai his way out of this misunderstanding maybe he throws in some 500 Bht gift vouchers from Central department store. ????

Attempted murder. Anything less is unacceptable

Phuket police having a bad week publicity wise. First urinating off a Maj Gen, now this.

Pretty poor shot though- 9 rds fired and one hit! Seems his card was already marked for something as he was already being transferred. Kicking him after shooting him shows a particularly nasty streak.

Anyone remember Constable Savage? ????

Using the word "men" loosely, I assume?

Civil Servants including Police, Military and the others connected to the glorious Thai state seem to be chosen by god. The chosen people can do no wrong.  It's surprising they don't commit even more crime.

What's the officially mandated closing time for bars on Bangla these days?  Apparently Cpl Pornthep Channarong was being denied admittance to Illuzion by the club's security because he was carrying a gun, just prior to 6am.

Should be nothing less than attempted murder .. but will the usual obfuscation be the order of the day .. will be interesting to see how he wriggles given what was reported as happened ..

Unrealistic for him to face charges of bringing the force into disrepute is there  ????

Perhaps they do. It merely never makes it to the surface.

I think it's either down to nepotism, connections or negotiated price, God really does'nt figure!

Here's the video. That a person can feel so privileged as to treat another human that way is disgusting.

The noodle vendor will probably be charged with using too much MSG and the policeman will get a promotion.
