Thailand has officially entered the dry season, starting today (Saturday), which will last until mid-May, according to the Meteorological Department.

It said that the northeastern monsoon wind, which had been blowing through northern Thailand, has been replaced by the warm southeastern wind, signaling the arrival of summer.

Temperatures during the dry season are forecast to be at a minimum 25oC and increase during daylight hours.

Strange that , cos' our dry season usually starts in November and finishes back end of March early April.

Here in NE Isaan we have had 28mm, in one fall (8th Feb), since 29th October. Thinking the dry season had "unofficially" began 3 months ago.

we havent had rain for a couple of months already and the ground is like concrete once again, have been hand watering our trees for the last 6 weeks and getting a water truck in to water the lawns, dam has dropped a lot as well

they mean "hot season".

usually starts mid february, so little delayed.

there is still la nina phenomenon, which brings cool temperatures and higher rainfall.

change of monsoon also means less pollution coming from china - so now the smog is from thai burning fields and jungle

Yes, I was happy for that little delay. 17 degrees in the early hours is just nice. Seems like the grace period is finally over for this year.

Not to worry  Folks !

Sorry,whats rain?

It's that warm wet stuff that falls occasionally from the sky, and sometimes is quite hard when it lands on unprotected skin. Unless you in the UK then it's that stuff that makes you wet for days at a time.

Odd.....drove past the Lumkatong reservoir on the 2..... full to the brim???

Dry season began; Thai time ime for burn all what they wants????

It means the burning season, which means I'm officially entering the drunk season.
