He and the rest of them know exactly what Democracy is and have not the slightest intention of allowing it to prosper in Thailand. These people are only one small step away from doing what the Burmese

I better shut up now.

If he cant or wont answer those simple questions then its probably time for him to go and i doubt any legal action against reporters asking him about his cabinet that the country needs answers to would have a leg to stand on .

Oh I am sure that the near permanent " state of emergency" can be invoked to allow him to silence them. Somehow I think that the legal niceties wouldn't come into it!

The fact that a construction tycoon manages the affairs of the Ministry of Health paints a clear picture of the extent of Thai cronie capitalism that not only drags Thailand down, but also is extremely dangerous as unqualified people are required to address a global health crises.

Most ministers in most democracies are technically not qualified to run their ministries - defence ministers are not soldiers, health ministers are not doctors, education ministers are not teachers and so on. However they have teams of highly qualified and experienced professionals to advise them. Here - well, Anutin starts wearing a doctors tunic and hey presto he is an expert  (an ex is something that has been and a spurt is what happens when you put a drip under presssure). Driven by immense egos, and the desire to promote themselves professional advice very obviously does not come into the equation.

They must have small hands...

basically, he admits the facts

yes by his own words he stated his ministers did do the reported wayward deeds,

and went on to basically say he's now mentored some guidance to them:

Anutin leads the second largest party of MPs.

Prayut needs his support to have a clear majority.

True and they were all at a "party" in Thong Lor and Ekkamai.

legal action was a possibility for using the term "Thai Khu Faa Club" - a bit like saying a Mile High Club!

Legal action for using a certain term ???????? ... when you got no bullets left to shoot...

Sometimes the truth hurts !!!

In reply to getting rid of the cabinet, be careful what you ask for including those raving on about democracy.Have you had a good look at the Sharks waiting in the wings???

Can you imagine any expert in Thailand, where face is paramount, telling a superior that he is wrong and that his proposed course of action is bad? Probably a reason why so many stupid decisions are made.

He said it wouldn't be his choice to visit nightclubs saying that he hadn't been out in 10 years. He said he was a "homeboy" who never left home though he used to do a bit in his youth.

Not been out in 10 Years

That explains a lot.

Firing Anutin would probably be enough.

I would really like to know what power he has over Prayut.

If the coalition fails then new elections. That is plenty of power.

He spoke of his ministers going to nightclubs as being "the chicken coming before the egg or the egg coming before the chicken".

Question:  What came first,  the chicken or the egg?

Answer:  The Rooster

Sorry Prayuth. There has been a tremendous double standard within your administration for six years now. All you guys hold yourself to a different standard, than us plebs. And it is NOT a higher standard. It is an "above the law" standard. And it is despicable.

The people and the media have every right to criticize you and your filthy rich brothers in arms. You guys are lowering the mockery bar daily. Start behaving with honor, and you might be criticized less. Can you do that?

Should’ve put BKK and  other red zones into lockdown days ago rather than letting the inter-provincial bus loads of people spread the virus nation wide. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Isaan badly hit next.

Already happening. Udon Thani has gone from one case to 21 cases in a week due to the Krystal connection. Already 2 places we shop have had cases linked to them ????.

No, he Order the media to stop reporting.

Heaven's forbid the peasants should ever find out what's going on in "Grung Thep".

So much for leadership by example. He's a homeboy, but his minions go out and flout the rules they are so fond of spouting about. Irony of ironies.

I wonder if the people will remember when the next elections come around, if they ever do.

In a true democracy politicians should take all the press reports in stride, good or bad. Sure, deny reports or confirm but never tell free press to stop printing/reporting, oh wait, did I say "true democracy".

Modern politicians in democracies are terrified of the press. Press hysteria, applified by Twitter, is why the Western countries rushed into such harsh (and largely ineffective) lockdowns a year ago.
