BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) – The first lot of Thai durian fruits pre-ordered online has been delivered to China.

Alongkorn Polabutr, advisor to the agriculture and cooperatives minister and chairman of the Fruit Board, said a chartered flight of Shenzhen Airlines delivered to Shenzhen airport the lot of durian fruits sourced from the agriculture cooperative of Khlung district in Chanthaburi province.

Mr Alongkorn said it was the first lot of online pre-ordered durian exports from Thailand and buyers already paid for the pre-ordered 20 tons of durian, equivalent to about 10,000 fruits.

That's excellent news, in fact I have chewed my nails to the quick just waiting for this announcement. ???? Now for the import figures for Chinese Lychees.

It all sounds good until they stop kowtowing to the Chinese and a few shipments are left to rot for some b s excuse, just ask a few Aussie producers.

Revenge for the virus? ????

The planes pilots and staff will have had to have been wearing a PPE and APR so they could breathe while on the plane with that much stench stored in the hold.  20 tons of durian has to be pretty pungent.

Chinese Leeches? wait are you into bloodletting.  I mean durian makes people give blood curdling screams and cream themselves either for the love of it or the stench.  But Chinese leeches, yes let the bloodletting begin....

That is because of Happy Clapper Scotty trying to be a hero to get a few bogan votes.

I know an Aussie producer who has been ruined by Scott's big mouth as is filthy on him

China are our biggest and best customer and he starts slagging them off. Useless public servant who gets his pay regardless.

I had my first durian for the season yesterday. The seller told me it was from Chantaburi. They don't call it the King of Fruits for nothing. awesome.

I bet the Thai farmers are ecstatic at the huge  profit they have made, or is that the middle men, the ones round here all driving Mercedes, Porsche's etc. The amount they give is  pathetic for the effort to grow most crops here.

The wife will not be happy. She would eat that many herself if she could afford it.

Hmm.

Pre-ordering and pre-paying.

I wonder if Thailand could do such a thing for vaccines?

Nah. Just kidding.

So that's how they're paying for Sinovac! No wonder that's the main vaccine on the market here!

China will suck every durian and chicken out of Thailand and Thais will be forced to pay astronomical prices to get the scraps left.

The Chinese give us Covid-19.

We retaliate by giving them 20 tons of malodorous durian.

Now... that's got to be the cruelest tit-for-tat ever.

And yet the Thai post can't send letters internationally.  Go figure how things are prioritized in Prathet Cha-ching.

I've heard the farmers are making decent bucks from durian around Surat Thani. Quite a few rubber plantations are switching to durian, apparently it is way more profitable.
