Movies that have a really emotional ending.

Featured Replies

Many movies make us emotional, but some evoke really strong emotional feelings.

I saw Sunset Song last night and still sad.

What movies would YOU put in the super emotional category?

The last scene in "6 Feet Under".

Without spoiling what happened, it showed what became of the characters.

King Kong.

Also the Killing Fields, with the reunion of the two main characters  in a refugee camp, while Imagine (John Lennon) is played in the background...

I think its an indication of any good movie. A well told story, strong characters great acting etc.

You end up with an emotional attachment.

I recall seeing The Killing fields years ago and being absolutely shell-shocked for hours afterwards

Se7en, although I was somewhat shocked all the way through wondering who had concocted such a sick story line.

Schindlers List.

That is the one and only movie that stunned me for hours and days afterwards. When the movie ended, the cinema was deathly quiet, hardly anyone moved for ages.  All filed out in almost total silence, with just a few whispers to be heard.  Coming from a Jewish family on my fathers side, it certainly impacted me emotionally.  Other movies, not so much, as they are just play acting entertainment.

I don't remember the title of the movie, or much of anything.

But there was this bad monster (or was it a robot?) which everybody thought would be dead. And then the last scene of the movie shows that it moves again.

I am sure someone here will remember that one.

Monrak transistor, best Thai movie ever made, although that's not saying much!

Don’t know that one but sounds like a sequel is planned so hang in there .

If this movie doesn't make you emotional you must have a swinging brick for a heart.

Bring on that brick then.
