The rules for the unvaccinated has not changed. They will still be required to quarantine like now. In 2 months, they will be accepting VACCINATED foreigners without quarantine.

You obviously do not read the community case transmissions in Singapore where they are fighting numerous clusters from fully moderna/pfizer vaccinated citizens.

that's not true.  There's so far only one case.  A nurse.  But for sure not numerous clusters.

As most know, just because you're vaccinated, doesn't mean you can't get the virus and pass it along.

this sums up the importance of the falang......less than sick soi dog

And no one wants to get it from you (or your family) because you couldn't be arsed to wear a mask. It's not rocket science or unreasonable, but it is the very least we should all do without moaning about it.

A vaccine does not stop you contracting a virus, it simply allows the body to fight it. Thus stopping illness. ????

The vaccines do stop the majority of transmissions.

"Data analysis in a study by the Israeli Health Ministry and Pfizer Inc found the Pfizer vaccine developed with Germany’s BioNTech reduces infection, including in asymptomatic cases, by 89.4% and in syptomatic cases by 93.7%."

PHUKET: The raft of restrictions in effect across Phuket to prevent the spread of CVOID-19 have been extended through to May 31 under a new provincial order issued May 12. The order included a warning that foreigners failing to observe the restrictions in place regarding gatherings may be expelled from the country.

But we're going to open up to international travel July 2021.... Lol

Yes and it is correct, isn't it? I wouldn't value someone who risks other peoples lives higher than a soi dog anywhere. You mention money so do you think money matters?

None of that matters unless you have PR or citizenship just a temporary visitor who must observe dynamic goalposts to enter or, stay.

Time to buck up and follow the rules nobody can say now they were not warned.

The risk of contracting or transmitting covid outdoors is very low. If you are vaccinate it is minute.

Do your homework, there are many many cases of vaccinated people spreding the virus, and it is not a Vaccine its a trial jab on lab rats, it is not FDA approved as it takes years of human trails to see all adverse affects, oh wait thats what they are doing now

So a foreigner cannot have a family gathering in his own home but five thais can live together in a small room?  All these ridiculous measures do is force people inside away from the sunlight and vitamin d the body needs to fight disease.  Sure social distancing and masks can be tolerated but the isolation makes absolutely no sense unless it is the elderdly with preconditions isolated for their own protection.

Oh <deleted>, here comes the doomsday advocates. Are you talking about the one nurse that got it, inside a hospital? Or the 3 vaccinated people out of several thousand that got it? There aren't 'numerous clusters from fully vaccinated citizens' . Fearmongering at its worst.

The comment you replied to, that risk of transmission among fully vaccinated people outside is basically nil, is absolutely correct. Stop spreading irrational fear.

There my friend you are wrong, if vaccinatie, you still are spreading infections. This is allready been Proven in Western Countries...

The order, dated as issued and signed by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew today, is marked to come into effect May 13.

Dear Phuket,

Please note that now you have given us a rigid set of rules we will follow them, as most of us tried to do with the previous, somewhat ambiguos set. Please also note that many of the foreigners you allude to have supported many families, not necessarily just their own, during both this pandemic and for many years previous to this. We have also supported your economy and infrastructure in many different ways and generally done our utmost to be respectable parts of your communities.

I, for one, was part of many a group packing food parcels for the needy on Patong beach last year and have seen many foreigners continue to support the needy since.

The latest Covid cluster in Phuket was caused by a group drinking together in the Phoonpon area ; we of course know where.

We are here to support and help as well as have lives we enjoy. Let's focus together on the real problem areas so we can finally see an end to this pandemic here.

'there are many cases' ; how many can you find? 100? 200? Out of the millions and millions who have been vaccinated. Fearmongering.

Then if/when you finally get to Phukhet

everything is closed and boarded up anyway?

Then theres the risk of getting infected in transit and getting hauled off to some Covid jail.

I love Thailand but it doesnt seem like such a great deal to me.

Thailand was once a great Kingdom, now just a Circus run by the Cicus Clowns

Because it’s the outlandish farang’s that usually break the rules!

I would not set foot in Phuket if they paid me after that remark

Thais all over Phuket and the country are gathering daily for their little drinking parties and yet again this buffoon has chosen the single out farangs and all the while practically begging farangs to return to Phuket in July - is this #### for real

and what they did to that group of family members and tight friends at the so called "Villa Party" was a national disgrace

To a much, much smaller extent.

Being vaccinated very much reduces the chance of getting infected and reduces the chance of infecting others.
