Popular Post webfact
Picture: Daily News Thailand's DPM and health minister Anutin Charnvirakul told Daily News that a decision to delay vaccination for those on social security insurance was "nothing to do with me". Earlier the Social Security Office faced heavy criticism after they suddenly postponed vaccinations for those on social security insurance in Bangkok from 12th to 27th June. They would not resume until 28th June. Anutin defended himself and the Ministry of Public Health saying that they had fulfilled all their obligations. The SSO decision was nothing to do with him but because they wanted to check the provenance of vaccines from various companies. He said that the vaccine rollout - including for social security recipients under section 33 - would continue in Bangkok and up-country as far as he was concerned. He was supplying all the vaccine and all the equipment needed according to what had already been agreed and announced. There was no break in the supply chain, he said, with deliveries of vaccine continuing as planned. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-12 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 6

Popular Post champers
I think his authority has been reduced by the PM so he may be factually correct in what he is saying. If he is sufficiently upset with this state of affairs he could withdraw his party's support for the Government and force a general election. This has been predicted this week in some parts of the media. Anutin is on the horns of a dilemma. If he forces an election during a time of a national crisis he runs the risk of being accused of putting personal and party interests ahead of the national good. It's a tricky one for him and he may have to bide his time till the Covid situation improves markedly; however Prayut will likely claim the credit, as Covid Czar, for any positive outcome. That's politics. Edited June 12, 2021 by champers

The Government is assured of full support of the Senate and will be helped by a mostly compliant/cowed media and a helpful justice system. Along with the backing of the armed forces, this type of politicking does not need to be too nuanced.

Popular Post spidermike007
Any connection to the social security program may not have anything to do with you, but every other delay, and the spectacular failure of YOUR vaccine program has everything to do with your lack of capabilities, your stunning incompetence, your indifference to your people, the fact that you were already vaccinated, and therefore you just do not seem to care, and your lack of planning. You are at fault. Man up here. Submitting your resignation, along with an apology to the nation, and packing your bags and leaving Thailand for the rest of your sorry life, would be the right thing to do, at this stage. However, only real men take responsibility for their actions, so we are not expecting this from you. 8

wensiensheng
I walked past the vaccination centre in Central Mall Phuket today. Deserted. Both at the car park seating area and the actual vaccination site inside. Not a single person. and yet two weeks ago a farang friend who was told by their employer that they had to get vaccinated, waited for 3 1/2 hours in a queue, despite having an appointment. either Phuket has vaccinated everybody now, or they don’t have any vaccine. 1
