Bars open in Phuket Green or Yellow light

Its not a problem  with opening, the problem is keeping them open and another  variant on the horizon.   Three times they open with a new strain found in other countries.   Keeping strains out only works if zero enter.  Remember the IK strain first was found in two foreigners in quarantine before, and then the strain got out.  Then they once again eased restrictions,  and the worst strain so far entered the country, Indian strain.  Now the plan is to ease and there is a deadlier strain known as the Delta strain in other countries.  Theres an old saying, "dont count your chickens before they hatch."  How many times will there be a yo-yo affect?

A drink with a meal is different from 4 hours of shouty football or 10 teams at quiz night etc.. Couldn,t your brain have done that?

And you don't think punters will just go to restaurants, hang-out all evening drinking just like in a bar?

They have already been doing this for quite awhile now.

Only four hours? You're a lightweight......

yeah well thats all great but all my local bars have since rebranded as restaurants so 4 hours of shouty football is back but now accompanied with a plate of chips (and a paper cup)

bolt: never heard that before but you miss the point about alcohol in restaurants allowed

(not necessarily with food either) but not alcohol in bars.....why ?

I agree with you about the one rule for bars and one rule for restaurants isn’t fair, but Thailand has always had that law, where hotels can sell booze in restaurants where as bars couldn’t during holidays etc.

but boozing in general has helped spread the virus, indoor venues are the worst.
