Be careful folks.  Children of LE all over the country are being pulled out of their international schools (amazing how many can afford it in good times), not all of those parents are going to be so willing and will still find a way to get that tuition.

The ones disguised as leaves, or hiding behind plants will be sent to maximum security to get Covid. 

 

They will be regarded as escape risks, and not allowed to wonder in the prison grounds in case they find some leaves and encourage others to escape as a Banana.

Let’s hope the penalty is just a fine, and not something more formal. It would be no fun if the police entered the Farang in the system so that their visa couldn’t be extended.

 

Theoretically I don’t carry my passport, just a copy in my pocket. Which is well worn so the numbers aren’t visible. So when I was theoretically caught up in a similar situation a few weeks ago and taken to the station, my passport was never registered in the police system because the numbers weren’t visible. Theoretically.

Give them a lesson about what alcohol does to the body, tell them it's a Grade 1 carcinogen, show them lots of videos and pictures about this, then let them go. If they reoffend, then they are suicidal. Yes, it's an unpopular viewpoint, but I can't understand why people drink alcohol when they must know what a carcinogen is and what alcohol does to you.

Everything's a carcinogen these days, including the air you breathe in most places. When life is boring or crappy, alcohol, in moderation, makes it better. I'll take 5 years of a better life than 10 of a boring one. I'm sure when I'm in the hospital, dying of cancer, I'll be thinking different but until then, cheers!

This is alledgedly what happens as related by a victim of a police bust last week in Pattaya area. 

They are taken to Pattaya Police station on Soi 9 where they are lectured about the Covid problem in Pattaya.  After this they are told that the penalty for this is a night in the cells, followed by a court appearance and a 40,000 fine, with subsequent deportation from Thailand and will be unable to return to the Kingdom for a period of 5 years. 

The farangs are then taken to a separate room where they are told this can all 'go away' if they each pay a 10,000 baht fine (no receipt of course).  After this they will be able to leave only after paying into a bank account via there phones, or being escorted to an ATM and handing over the 10,000 baht in cash. 

Even if you have been sitting in a bar without a beer in front of you when the bar is busted, you will still be threatened with a night or two in the cells and a court appearance if you refuse to pay.

Yeah, but that's how a gov inches up on your freedoms.  Now it is ILLEGAL, and they can choose to beat up on the citizens more and more.  

but they are smart enough to know if they did that right off the bat while everyone is used to freedom that they'd be creating a much bigger active anti-gov population.
