the beginning of the end?

It's really not that bad here.  I'm not part of the sandbox program, but have been moving around Phuket the last few weeks.

All the beaches are open.  Plenty of restaurants are open.  Super low prices on nice hotels.  Even massage shops and some "bars" are open (I think they're technically registered as restaurants to avoid the rules) .

Or just the end of the beginning ?

As far as vaccines are concerned, it's the beginning of the beginning.

Well it may as well be the end of end for some.

How about the Thailand regulars who used Phuket as a front door to get back into Thailand??

They must be very worried, if not absolutely livid right now, if its true that all means of transport OUT of Phuket is blocked/banned.

So after the 2 week mark these people could be forced to stay in the over-priced Phuket accommodation??

instead of joining family/wives/gf's

in other parts of Thailand, as they planned?

This could turn very ugly, or at least an absolute P.R disaster if these people end up sandblocked.

That's not true.   A friend flew to Bangkok this morning.

Every day I am closer to my death.

I am dying.

I've been dying since the hour of my birth.

Quite looking forward to an eternity of uterine nothingness again.

How could it turn ugly? What are they gonna do, attack the riot police with their zimmer frames?
