Like a lot of things, I think it's lost in translation.

We are still using the elevators.

The couple is isolating. The condo owner has again contacted hospital but told to wait for beds.

The reason we have stayed in same condo for 10 years is condo management. The couple is being very well cared for.

Not that we need it but it's nice to see our partners step up. First thing my gf did upon hearing was to run off and get some items for them from Ginger to treats.

Im sure your aware of  Ozhotel quarantine beaches on same floor. Beware of opening your doors to common areas and assoc. airflow.

apparently mixing pfizer and then AZ in that order is ok according to WHO,

but really not sure how they came to that conclusion,

Can you show me a link to what you posted, I can not find the WHO saying this in my searches just now.

All I find is reference to the UK study

I disagree on your literal translation.,

Well, it does not mention corridors, rooms or room occupants, not does it ask residents to coordinate. It does not imply people need to remain in their rooms.  It is a plain maintain a safe distance statement in crystal clear Thai.

Thailand’s continued efforts to bring in vaccines

Since last October Ministry for Foreign Affairs has held consultations with allies and friends to ensure that they will be able to provide vaccines if need be, according to the spokesperson, Tanee Sangrat.

In the press conference on Thursday, he said that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai has been in touch with China, the US, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland to secure shipments of their vaccines through the past year.

Last October, Don held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi about the bilateral plan to fight the Covid-19. Both sides discussed vaccine cooperation and procurement. As a result, in April Thailand was the first country in ASEAN to purchase commercially Sinovac, the Chinese-made vaccines. Up til now, Thailand has imported a total of 10 million doses together with 1.5 million doses donated by China.

Often pretty skimpy on details and somewhat vague. Often originating as Facebook posts by the various Thai doctors involved. It's not ideal, but it's the best we've got on such issues for the time being.

I do think, though, it's probably their way of trying to respond to a government that's been claiming for months that Sinovac doses were very effective and adequate for protecting the country's medical workers (not to mention everyone else!).  Even though evidence from outside Thailand's supporting the local doctors' contrary stance been pointing in the same direction.

Thailand’s Cabinet has approved a proposal to allow four groups of migrant workers from Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar to stay and work in the country legally until July 27 next year, enabling them to sort out their employment status and work permits.

Labor Minister Suchart Chomklin said the government decided to allow these migrant workers to stay and work because the pandemic still shows no signs of easing and the migrants are again at risk of losing their status as legal migrants in Thailand, since their permit extensions are due to expire soon.

He said the government is trying to take care of these workers, to ensure their safety and health, which is necessary for protecting the public's health in general.

Is this something that they had in the filing cabinet ready to pull out, if anyone noticed the untested, untreated under fed,  bubble and seal camps?

Heard about this earlier and for those that need their initial vaccination jab (AZ), I suggest you register.

The  @BCCThaposted a tip just now about the Board of Trade of Thailand asking for foreigners who are 18+ to register their interest for the AstraZeneca vaccine. You need to fill out this form before 11am on Friday https://forms.gle/cAYKFLfeJizvJ15h7 Date and location is unknown. Good luck!

I must apologise my Google Translate on camera mode has a mind of it's own, I agree the literal translation is:

"We ask residents within the building to maintain distance when walking up and down with other residents."

Sounds like this may well now cause vaccine hesitancy in a proportion of not only expats but also Thai's. The last thing Thailand needs.

This should have been thought through with published studies first to see if it really is worth the gamble.

And I thought it had been put on hold anyway by the Czar?

I checked my registration on the Phuket must win web site just now and saw 6 appointments for sinovac at various centers on 29th July  and 2 appointments for AZ tomorrow! The AZ is either locally produced or maybe the Japanese donation is filtering through.

I thought something was amiss.  Over the years, Google has moved from translating to more of an interpretation mode. The early translations were often gibberish. The newer methods are much clearer but sometimes have a mind of their own.

For those who reside in Chonburi Province and those that have been there during the months of June/July:

Still awaiting list 3

The Chonburi Public Health Office last night (July 14th) has released a timeline to inform people who went to specific places last month and this month to notify health authorities and monitor their health. The following is an English translation of the release.

Editors note: Because the list is so long today we have divided this into separate articles. This is for Pattaya, Nongprue, Naklua. Other areas will be in a separate timeline. Central Festival Mall in Pattaya has closed today, July 15th, for deep cleaning, but plans to reopen tomorrow, July 16th.

List 1 of 3 here:https://thepattayanews.com/2021/07/15/timeline-pattaya-informs-residents-who-visited-places-in-relation-to-most-recent-covid-19-confirmed-cases-many-mall-cases/

The Chonburi Public Health Office last night (July 14th) has released a timeline to inform people who went to specific places in Si Racha, Sattahip, and Chonburi this month to notify health authorities and monitor their health. The following is an English translation of the release.

This is the second of three lists of timelines for today, July 15th, 2021, as they have been divided by districts due to the number of timeline cases.

List 2 of 3 here: https://thepattayanews.com/2021/07/15/timeline-si-racha-sattahip-and-chonburi-inform-residents-who-visited-places-in-relation-to-most-recent-covid-19-confirmed-cases/

List 3/3 was not tweeted and not listed on their website.  Maybe tomorrow.

These will go on tomorrows figures, the spread seems to be increasing in the community:

#PhuketSandbox update on Thursday: 11 local cases and no Sandbox cases with 80 patients in hospital.

WEEK ONE: 24 local + 1 sandbox = 25 cases

WEEK TWO: 38 local + 9 sandbox = 47 cases

WEEK THREE: 11 local + 0 sandbox in one day

73 cases over 3 weeks, but not enough to constitute 3 clusters presumably and not in, what was it, 6 districts? Afaik, they don’t say where the cases are, so I guess we take their word for it.

Yea take their word for it, again no mention of where these 11 cases were that I've seen published. Its not in any schools as they're all closed so they are happening somewhere in Phuket??

Still focused on that first jab aren’t they? The concept of needing two jabs to be fully protected just doesn’t translate well.

Information is power. Give out too much and someone might point out the sandbox closure conditions have been triggered.
