Getting rid of Sinovac shots on the basis of vax or close your pitch? What will follow for 2nd shot is anybody's guess.

It's moving so slow here, that the second shots might not keep up with infection rates, thus, people are still at great risk.

Tried to take my cat to the local vet here on the Darkside for a shampoo/haircut today, they were closed and their 2nd shop didn't have support staff.  I was told the staff was off to get their Covid vaccine shot.  That's good but seems like the vaccine rollout is taking forever.

I am not right in thinking that having a jab doesn't stop you getting Covid it helps with milder symptoms and you can still pass it to a non jabbed who could become seriously ill.

We are all going to catch covid over the next few years, it's just vaccination will protect you from getting really sick, and possibly dying from it.

Already seeing it in the UK.

A couple of weeks ago there were 10,000 new covid cases in one day, 6000 of them were in vaccinated people.

It will literally take forever. How is a farm worker living in a shack gonna get a vax shot.

And when people realize this they are gonna sorta ask themselves “then what did we do all that stupid stuff for”.

Before answering they will then push the question down, into the depths, where all the other good questions reside.

Why beach operators ? You can't even walk on the beach

We can we do there are no beach restrictions  around Pattaya,  jomtien, Pratumnak.  Anyway.  Beach operators  function as an identifiable group or demographic so why not?

Hardly.

Vaccines save lives.  Simple as that.

The human body's immune system, particularly in the elderly, was not able to do so well against covid, thus, a considerable death toll, globally.

So since you seem too know so much of those 10,000 what was the mortality rate in the 4,000 unvaccinated and 6,000 vaccinated

It does seem inevitable....... it plays out in the UK now.

Of course, individual circumstances of the 4000 people plays a big part, particularly with age, but the WHO put the mortality rate at 3.4%.

Of the 4000 unvaccinated, that would be about 136 people could possibly die.

AZ is the vaccine of choice for the UK.  It's about 80% efficient.

20% of 6000 = 1200 people.

1200 x 3.4% = 40 people.

So, out of the 10,000 vaccinated and unvaccinated people, around 176 people could die.

Extract from an article:

3.4% Mortality Rate estimate by the World Health Organization (WHO) as of March 3

In his opening remarks at the March 3 media briefing on Covid-19, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated:

Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.” [13]

Yes, in my opinion, what we are seeing in the UK now is the path most, if not all, countries will follow.

It's possible covid becomes like the annual flu, and just keeps circulating around the world, but with everyone eventually vaccinated for it, it will cease to be the killer that it currently is.
