At last Khon Kaen has an Indian restaurant

This morning I checked out the new Indian restaurant in Khon Kaen.

We have been waiting for years to get one.

Looks really nice.

Outside or inside dining.

I just got a take away to test it.

The name is Quinns one and only. On Mittraphap road.

Just past the Laos Consulate and almost opposit Tesco Lotus Extra.

Just hope it gets enough custom to remain open.

Quinn's exists for several years already, quite hidden at a different location. It just moved to this location several months ago

Have eaten at the one out of town, good food BUT had to wait ages for it to be served, seems to be only one chef.
Haven't tried the new one yet.

I hope the locals use it. Give them your custom often and allow it to flourish.

So many times we have seen this sort of reaction to such a niche place. Next thing we are reading that it has closed as it was unsustainable, followed by the same posters showing their grief.

When said posters were asked how many times they had frequented the place in six months, the answers would be "Oh. Once or twice".

And for takeaway and the budget conscious in Khonkaen, there is this place called Ruby Murry's curries.

They do all kinds, takeaways and inter province.

Here is their Facebook.

Enjoy!

Have you tried their curries and are they authentic.

Quins were excellent if a little small.

He has good reviews on Facebook and I am ordering next week because I just received an order from the Smokehouse Pattaya.

We are getting through that lot first. Great to get decent sausages and hams in Thailand.

Don't eat sausages or ham but I always love the smokey smell.

I went to Quinn's about 3 years ago. I would have bought a lot more but they said I lived too far to deliver, although I am in KK City.

If it's open at lunchtime, I'll go often. British Indian curries are the best.

Opens at 10.30 am. I got my takeaway at that time.

Tried Chicken Tikka Masala from Ruby Murry today.

It was actually very good.

Will be ordering more.

Has a lot of choices.

He will deliver on his motorcycle to Makro or Big C car park.

Rubby Murry or the new Quinns in Khon Kaen.

Quinns do a few vegetable dishes but if that counts as vegan I have no idea.

Give them a ring.

A menu is on their Facebook page.

Ruby Murry only has Potato Curry as far as I can see.

Bombay Aloo.

I remember getting a Bang Lassi on a hotel roof overlooking the Taj Mahal in Agra, amazing!

We Love Indian food.

We went to Quinn's  a couple of weeks ago. The place was nice, but we were disappointed by the food. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very blunt and tomatoee .

Reading the reviews in this thread and elsewhere wonder  if it was a one time occurance. Perhaps we will give it another try.

Ruby Murry's looks good. Thanks for the suggestion, I will order some later today.

Ruby Murry is surprisingly good considering the price.

Try ordering a selection and try them all out.
