Jealous Thai man shoots girlfriend to death in front of coffee shop colleagues - FB post reveals intention

Hankha police in the central Thai province of Chainat along with rescue services went to a coffee shop after reports of a shooting.

At the coffee shop they found Wasana, 30, - also known as Nong Bow - shot three times in the head, arm and leg.

She was lying in a pool of blood behind the counter. The body was taken to Sawan Pracharak Hospital.

She was from the Hankha area.

The shooter was her boyfriend Eksiri, aged 23, also known as Duang from Suphanburi.

He telephoned the provincial police and the local force after fleeing the scene to say that he was giving himself up.

He told the police that he was concerned that his girlfriend was splitting up with him.

A colleague at the coffee shop told Sanook that he parked his pick-up outside and walked in with a revolver and started shooting.

Everyone had to run for cover.

He had been in to eat there two or three times and seemed like a quiet, ordinary guy.

Suriporn, 55, the mother of the deceased said that her daughter and Duang had been together for four or five months. She also said he was a quiet guy who spoke nicely.

Everyone expressed surprise that he would do something like this.

But for those following the shooter's Facebook page it may be less of a surprise.

A post on his page on July 24th said "Songsai Tong Jop Duay Kwaam Tai" - I suspect this is going to end in death.

He had earlier intimated he was not making idle threats.

Police charged him with premeditated murder and weapons offences.

What causes a person to act in this way ? As we all go through life , we have relationships that usually come to an end , what makes a person think that killing another person is a good idea ?

Now they can never have a chance to reconcile, and he will never see her again.  So what he wanted was them not to end, not to part ways, but isn't this exactly  what he has caused?  Where's the logic in this act?

True, but if you analyze these events you will find a massive proponderance of males rather than females committing such crimes...........agreed?

Spoiled brats. No discipline. They're pretty much allowed to do whatever growing up. The teenage boys in my village lay about all day playing games. Yet someone keeps feeding them and paying their phone bills. So when someone finally tells them no, years later, they can't handle it.

Yes, but simply being male isnt the cause , otherwise it would be a regular occurrence

Not sure,

Women tend to kill then claim self defense.

Lady in Pattaya just did that, stabbed her bf 10x while he was 'attacking' her.

Lot of publicity given to man on woman violence, much less to woman on man violence.

I've experienced living with 3 different women (1x Brit, 2x Thai) who were violent towards me (kettle/knife/machete), the only violence I ever did to women was to restrain them while they were trying to stab me. (If you're interested, I had to go to hospital to get the boiling water burns treated, no police report as I foolishly agreed to say it was an accident, the women with knives never managed to get the pointy end in me)

But you'll claim my personal experience is irrelevant ....... right?

Jealous women cut off penises when you're sleeping and feed them to chickens, it used to occur so often that surgeons here became specialists in penis re attachments.   Google it, it is really a thing.

Cannot understand how a 23 year old man would be dating a 30 year old woman in Thailand.  Never heard of that. Sad and disturbing all around.  RIP Wasana

Perfectly true, hence the term a 'preponderance'.......so being a male tips the balance....for whatever reason.

The single big factor is he is male.

The single biggest factor is that he is the usual immature Thai male moron that you read about all too often .

Does this mean I have to stay awake to protect all those cheating males?

Unless he is a Thai male and statistics show that unfortunately it is an all too common occurrance

I cannot believe some of the inane comments on here trying to pretend males, on aggregate, are no more aggressive than females........some of you need to get a grip.

Yes, Males tend to be more violent than Females , its the way that Males are programmed , like to protect the Females and territory , it goes back to the beginning of the human race

He told the police that he was concerned that his girlfriend was splitting up with him. Huh? Most men, who have sufficient self esteem, respect for others, and a sense of self, would simply be able to walk away. This rather pathetic man was not able to. He was so caught up in this, he had no perspective on this, and he was not able to see the forest beyond the trees. What a loser.

So you're innocently sitting there not saying or doing anything wrong but yet 3 different women are so enraged that they physically attack you. Yeah, right. I'm absolutely sure you are saying something to rile them because in some twisted way, you get off on it. Take responsibility.

It has little to do with rational thinking.

So going on a shooting spree seemed like the obvious thing to do ? What a p****.

If I can't have her no one will... and I don't care if I spend

years in jail.......if these people could just stop and think

for just a few seconds, before they do this, they are

plenty of fish in the sea,and younger ones,.

Depends on what you mean by "regular" , I would say that its an anomaly , otherwise it wouldnt be a newsworthy story if it was a regular occurrence
