...........he was concerned his girl friend was splitting up with him.    ' Think I will go and kill her , that will stop her splitting up with me '. Loss of face , loss of life and from now on he will only have boyfriends where he is going.

Well they do here.

And its because they sit about all day with parents funding there every whim,  the going gets tough and they cant cope and out comes the gun or machete.

He told the police that he was concerned that his girlfriend was splitting up with him.

So he went and did the unthinkable... he couldn't just say, fine have a good life.

Suriporn, 55, the mother of the deceased said that her daughter and Duang had been together for four or five months. She also said he was a quiet guy who spoke nicely.

Thai extremes, some mothers would be after his blood; this lady manages a few nice words. I thought it was only mothers that thought their sons were all little saints.

At least it's not like the west where all the cliche tributes drown out the reality.  'He was a nice boy, he used to cut my grass'.

Very few males actually behave in this way , hardly any at all

I am unsure about that.

The amount of DV ending in death, generally of the female partner, is roughly about one death per week, with possibly 20 time more in incidences of other physical violence which does not end in death.

Now they can never have a chance to reconcile, and he will never see her again.  So what he wanted was them not to end, not to part ways, but isn't this exactly  what he has caused?  Where's the logic in this act?

No logic whatsoever. Extreme envy and violence are a trait of a psychopathic sociopath.

he parked his pick-up outside and walked in with a revolver and started shooting.

Just 23 yrs old ... and armed with a loaded gun , and ready to use it ... this place is becoming frightening .

I someone has a car accident with a guy like this , he might not get out of it alive ... how many Thais are armed and ready to shoot in this country ?

True, but if you analyze these events you will find a massive proponderance of males rather than females committing such crimes...........agreed?

Indeed, women are the exception quite clearly ...

I think the rates are comparable to the home of the brave and land of the free ...

In the US , someone who shows that he is ready to use his gun in public spaces , risks being instantly shot by police .

But here ...?

What causes a person to act in this way ?

As we all go through life , we have relationships that usually come to an end , what makes a person think that killing another person is a good idea ?

The fragility of the Thai male mind.????

Cannot understand how a 23 year old man would be dating a 30 year old woman in Thailand.  Never heard of that. Sad and disturbing all around.  RIP Wasana

That you think this is sad and disturbing .

Apathy in education, discipline, parenting, social responsibility and upbringing leading to self entitlement and narcissism appears prevalent in Thailand.  The news has many similar news stories ...

Wimmun kill you when they want you gone.  Not when they want you back.

The single big factor is he is male.

I actually believe the unregulated  violence they show on Thai soaps  actually brainwashes kids that violence and gun are ok... I mean it is absolute  hypocrisy  that a guy with a cigarette has the cigarette  blurred out yet the guy with the gun pointed at the lad who has stolen his girl is shown in full detail .. kids become sensitised to this <deleted> and see violence as acceptable solution.. rest in peace young lady.. this  should never have happened .....
