Finance Thailand Tightens Mobile Banking to Curb Scams
My AIS in Thailand is set for NO data roaming for obvious reasons. Just calls and SMS. To be honest, I never even thought of that, but even had I, why the hell should I incur the expense just to suit SCB? And to be fair, I guess I'm not their typical customer - I'm basically a tourist when I go to Thailand - my account was only used 2-3 months of the year, AND SCB ATMs were becoming rather scarce in Pattaya. As for your second point - yes (only in my case its UKP not Euros) plus I have a UK bank account that doesn't charge for foreign currency withdrawals. Of course that raises the spectre of Thai ATM charges, but that's for this thread. -

I would like to enter Visa exempt status for 60 days with a possibility to extend for 30 days and leave Thailand and reenter with my Non-O, is that possible or would the immigration have my Non-O on file at BKK? -

Health Insurance for Long-Term Stays in Thailand: Key Facts
This is the only reason I’m not retired in Thailand. I am lucky to have excellent health care and hospitals in France. I can’t imagine giving that up . luckily I live on the Cote d Azur so sunshine and beaches. Just over 70, I stay a snowbird in Thailand and those 4 months and a bit are enough. I’d miss Thailand if I couldn’t visit anymore tho. Been coming since 1984.
