BKKTRAVELER
Well, he seems to have more than Thailand's police chief, which assets have been described last week. Another brilliant investor! The Thai police force is definitely full of surprises. I'll go to my closest police station tomorrow asking them what they think is the current best investment...

Caldera
The police farce has appeared to be beyond repair for as long as I can remember. Some things just never change, how would you even fix this if you wanted to?
milys
<deleted>, Cut him some slack, y'all ! He was just a hard working honest thai policeman just graduated from the school of corruption, trying to take care of himself, like the rest of RTP PS I know sarcastic is not a thai thang but maybe it's an ASEAN...
Popular Post Banana7
Video surfaces about Aug. 22, guy dies Aug. 5/6. Nothing is done until the video surfaces. It seems the big guys in Bangkok were still protecting the villains, until the video became public. How come the PM doesn't cleanup the RTP, especially the boys in Bangkok, and all who have massive assets far exceeding what they couldn't possibly amass on a Policeman's salary? 6

In the U.S. I had a large garage added on to my house. 3 rooms above but never fully finished out, just storage space. It took several years but I got a call from the county tax assessors. They could see from aerial/SAT views that it was nice and even had high-priced double pane windows. They came knocking on the door. I explained that I did things well, but the rooms were unfinished. No sheet rock, no heat/aircon. Attic space. Ended up paying a bit more real estate tax for some "covered porch" square footage. Perhaps Thailand could do a little aerial spying and figure who owns these monster homes.

Actually, there were all together 29 cars at his garage. I would think he has many houses and many more cars. Land papers. Bank accounts. Secret safes and walk-in vaults. In his name. In name of his parents, siblings, cousins, girlfriends. But not as much, as his superior in chain of command 29 cars! Almost one for every day of the month. He must have looked very low key arriving at work in that Bentley Continental GT. I bet that police station car park must have looked like Man United's every morning. ???? 4

Heng
I bet he ends up in a cage. This is a different type from Red Bull Ferrari boy. IMO local asset heavy with little or no offshore plan B/C to speak of. Popular Post Whale
You read things like this and no matter how long you have lived here or think you understand Thailand and Thainess, you are left with a few thoughts: a) its really much worse than you could have ever have imagined. b) corruption is so ingrained there will never be an iotas reduction never mind an end to it. c) deep down how does the Thai mind accept this kind of thing (and they do just think it is their "normal") d) If I ever got in trouble here what are my chances of losing everything, or worse? 3
