“Three Ps” deny rift rumours

The prime minister said Friday that the “Three Ps” at the head of government are still “brothers,” following rumours of infighting between senior members of the pro-military government.

 

The Three Ps is a nickname given to Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit “Pom” Wongsuwan and Interior Minister General Anupong “Pok” Paochinda by the Thai media.

 

“Not everyone loves their friends as much as we three love each other, since we fought on a battlefield together and he [Prawit] was my commanding officer from my first step into the civil servant service,” Prayut told reporters.

Substitute "and I never have been" with "it came naturally" would seem more on the mark.

Though, I don't believe that it would be the rift to be concerned about. 

More important circles of divisiveness and drama that might take precedence.

What, pray tell, battlefield did they ever fight on?  They wear their clown suits with all the spaghetti ribbons to show off and they mean nothing at all!

 

Prayut, the bumbling George W Bush, clown with Prawit, the Dick Chenney, clown as the man behind the curtain (most likely sleeping away).

The bright blue ribbon is for being first in the lunch queue. Not sure what the others are but I think there are other gallantry awards for 'riding in a tank' , 'sitting in an airplane' and 'knowing someone who has been on a boat.'

What battlefield was that? Unless shooting unarmed civilians counts as a battle, none comes to mind.

 

It's heartwarming that the three old goats still love each other, in any case.

Seems to me that large bundles of cash changing hands is the daily 'shopping' in Thai politics.

Medals prove nothing, look at the UKs Old Prince Charlie, he is weighed down by medals and never fought in any war.
