Completely new to Thailand, in pleonchit but can’t seem to find the more expensive bottles of alcohol. 
do they have an alcohol store here? I’m from Canada and we have Lcbo (government owned alcohol store) 

 

I’ve just seen some regular alcohol at places like 7/11

 

Specifically looking for hennesy xo 

 

I think the government banned ordering online/through delivery, thought I’d save some time asking here instead of visiting a bunch of stores

Villa Market in the basement of the Mall there

TOPS Market at All Seasons Place, they also have a bottle shop in the retail area, not a wine connection but something similar.

I am sure places like Central Chidlom downstairs food hall will have some expensive stuff- you can get there walking on the elevated walkway and through Central Embassy.

Is central chidlom food hall like a food court? I went to central embassy the other day and it was mainly just luxury clothing stores

Villa Market will definitely have it... about 8,800 baht for a 700 ml bottle.

Sure they will both have it, possibly more likely in Villa.

Central Chidlom foodhall is great, its like a high end supermarket with salad bar, but also has lots of places to sit and eat proper food from all over. Not like a Big C food court. Its very impressive. You basically walk through Central Embassy and down the escalators on the other side all inside, and you come out onto 1st/2nd floor of Central Chidlom which has everything you would ever need. Go down to the ground floor and the super market, delis etc are there. i

wow thanks a lot, i'll definitely check that out as well, theres a shuttle from my condo that goes to central chidlom, which saves me the walk there.

The Central Food Hall in Central Chidlom will definitely have Hennessy XO and whatever other high-end spirits that you would be used to see in proper supermarkets in Canada. Besides that, one of the best supermarkets in Bangkok IMO. Do note the alcohol selling times from 11am-2pm and 5pm-Midnight as these have caught many newcomers off guard.

Central Embassy has Godfather Wines on the 4th floor. They specialize in high-end wine and spirits, so I would guess they have what you're looking for.

They have very good quality and selection in Central Food Halls, 'Emporium Mall' Phrom Phong (P.P. BTS) downstairs foodcourt is really good. (great beef steak and other goodies too).

Yep Villa and Tops sell but I don't buy there as their selection and quality, in my humble opinion isn't as good as I hope for.

** There are lots of online providers in Thailand. 

I've only bought French and Italian wines so far from winestoreasia and they've been good to excellent.

Wine Connection - all outlets - they sell some decent wines. We visit WC in Bang Tao regularly and they surprise with some really decent world class wines. We had a delicious French Pinot Noir from there a while back ☺️

Gourmet Market - Siam Paragon is very good and can source pretty much anything for you if you don't mind the price of special orders.

You can get assorted wines, and champagnes shipped in from O/S as well.

I even saw a bottle of Louis XIII cognac in  our local one last year. Over THB100,000 if I recall correctly. They have a large selection of spirits from all over the world.

I've not found the henny xo over here, had to bring it in luggage though wine-now might have it.

 

Villa has remy xo vsop & cordon Bleu.   As well as henny and Martell vsops.

I don't drink spirits so can't tell good from bad. I was given a glass of this once for a friend's birthday. I think he said the empty bottle was worth a lot of money alone.
