COE

Featured Replies

Once you are issued the COE how long is it valid for? Does it have to be used within a certain amount of days?

It issued for the day you are starting your trip to here. After that day is no longer valid.

If you changes flights you have to contact the embassy or official consulate that issued it to get a new one.

Its valid for a specific day/flight as mentioned. If your flight is delayed or cancelled there is a 72 hour window the same COE can be used.

Delayed maybe. Never heard of a 72 hour window. Who told you that?

You wont get one without all the correct dates flights, insurance, hotel, vaccine, etc so pointless trying ????

Its printed on the COE:

"Flight changes (due to delay or cancellation only) are permitted within 72 hours from the original flight time without the need to issue a new COE, provided all other required documents are still valid"

.

Just received mine a few minutes ago ) on a Sunday evening) and at the very bottom it states:

3. Note to airlines - flight changes (due to flight delay or cancellation ONLY) are permitted within 72 hours from the original flight time without the need to issue a new Certificate of Entry, provided that all other required documents are still valid.

The COE mentions Flights and Hotels

So you cannot change anything, delay slightly yes,  but no changes.
