Easy and far cheaper to do yourself.

Immigration will help you along.

They don't bite.

He may not have the money for financial requirements.

OP, maybe clarify your location, and whether you just want an agent to hold your hand (you have all the documents and financials etc).

Or you want an agent who can "assist" with missing documents or financials.

Some agents don't enjoy assisting with extensions marriage.

Don't be surprised if they even suggest extension volunteering.

My guess is the 400k for few months is the issue for you?

Does the 400k need to be seasoned when applying based on being a parent of a Thai?

No

There is no mention of it being needed in the immigration order for extensions. But some offices have wanted it to be in bank for 2 months.

The availability of Covid extensions was just extended again, so depending on your future plans, you might want to get another one.

Which immigration office do you deal with?

Had a vague memory of Phuket requiring the 2 months.

Read the thread heading and OP.

You have issue with agents then that's your right.

The OP is asking advice re agent.

Stay on topic, give him advice or skip posting.

I do not give illegal advise unlike some.

Against forum rules as far as I know.

If you do not qualify under the law find an option you do qualify for.

Simple as that.

The Agent here in Khon Kaen wanted $500, for extension based on marriage which seems to be the more difficult one.

Wife and me did it our selves and I was surprised how easy it was. Immigration was very helpful, They told  us what we needed. When we went back the girl at the front desk previewed all our documents, found our that we were missing something and something else was wrong, we fixed it, and went back. The immigration officer was  very professional and pleasant, I finished signing all the papers in less than an hour.  They scheduled a visit to our house a couple of days later. (also easy and pleasant) and I am set for a year.

I suggest you do it yourself and save some money.

OP, issue of covid extensions has been extended till late Nov.

Means that you can remain till late Jan using covid extensions if needed.

From webfact...

Previously, the deadline for COVID extensions had been September 27, 2021.

However, the new order confirms the grace period has been extended to November 26, 2021.

You really don't know much,  do you.  Bosses at immigration offices have discretionary powers in different aspects of extension granting.  Do you homework
