Yes, and if the experience - still continuing - of Western countries is anything to go by, you have to do it AFTER you've reached about 90% double-vaxed.

The Thai government says 2x Sinovac + 1x Astra offer the best protection (80 to 90%), while two Astra shots are less effective (70 to 80%), and I suppose that's the max efficacy after two weeks only, after which it slowly declines.

It would help by announcing the end of the policy of forcing people to take Sinovac, and be offered a vaccine of their choice.

Everyone wants to be able to go to Switzerland, you know...

Or everywhere else in the world where Sinovac is not approved to allow entry into their countries.

Nobody is being forced to take Sinovac, everybody can get AZ+Pfizer, don't spread misinformation.

Population 79 million, 87 million vaccines administered, another 11 to 12 million to reach the planned target? Woefully inadequate target seeing as this debacle has been on going for over a year.

And when you look at the future, these 87 million vaccines will revert to zero as they wain and will need another 87 million to keep up with being double vaccinated. Governments are already short of money, who will pay for the boosters going forward?

The cost of a vaccination pales into insignificance vs the economic damage associated with not having them. Boosters are proving to be particularly cost effective .

I have been searching the internet to find out what has become (if anything) of Thailand's import of Novavax.

Nothing coming up in the searches.

I read months ago that Thonburi hospital in Bangkok had a connection to the Maryland producers in the USA and that plans had been made to bring Novavax in...

Any forum members here heard of a friend or relative here in Thailand having received Novavax (sub-unit type vaccine)?

Yes , it is .

Europe's population is vaxxed , ( at least a good part of it ) , but cases are rising ...

Europe cases rise graphic

It looks like the vaccination is not really very effective .

A lot of ' break through ' cases ...

More restrictions coming and more riots as well ...

Pacha Mama's revenge .

Vaccination is very effective. Look at Portugal. The countries with rising cases have too many non vaccinated. Too many experts who know it all.
