BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister said businesses based in the United States are still interested in investing in Thailand, following his meeting with U.S.-ASEAN Business Council, saying there are no issues with relations between both countries.

Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha today attended a hybrid meeting with the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), where he presented Thailand’s vision for transformation in all aspects.

The meeting was participated by the U.S. Charge d’ Affaires to Thailand, USABC President and CEO Ted Osius, and executives from 49 U.S. private firms.

Following this meeting, the Prime Minister said he discussed and expressed Thailand’s vision for transformation in health, digital technology, medicine, and services, along with the operations of U.S. businesses in Thailand in a strategic partnership between both countries.

He noted that U.S. firms’ interests to invest in Thailand remain unchanged.

Thailand is also expecting to welcome the U.S. Secretary of State in his upcoming visit to Thailand, during which a range of topics will be discussed.

The Prime Minister said Thailand’s political affairs or security were mentioned at this meeting because they are considered internal affairs.

He asked for cooperation from the Thai public to help improve the government’s stability and security, saying any commotion would hinder the country’s development.

Very nice. Just make sure they are advised to never ever wire 47 million baht upfront sans due diligence.

They're interested  in the way someone would watch a dung beetle.

Like ousting Amnesty International; bringing down air pollution figures to merely lethal; deforestation; slave labour; rabid dogs; death-on-the roads.

Thailands vision for transformation in ALL aspects ?

Most what needs transformation here is the politicians and their policies and the general mindset of the xenophobic Thais who want everything . but not give anything in return .

He won't change that , for sure .

Just wait for the next elections ... I seriously doubt that many want to improve the government's stability ... but you never know here ...

What's a hybrid meeting?????

Well, in the UK . . . .

Why would any country want to invest in a country like Thailand that asks other countries to donate vaccines?

When camera was switched off, the brown envelopes were mentioned.

Message to the USA- you are gradually losing your long friendship with Thailand. The Chinese are taking over. Wake up.

"He asked for cooperation from the Thai public to help improve the government’s stability and security, saying any commotion would hinder the country’s development."........

Ain't this rich.

Who benefits directly from the public's sacrifice and cooperation?

Certainly the good population.

I very much doubt as long as he stays PM... or maybe US firms know something we don't, like "tonton" is leaving    555
