More maintenance than anything else; but bike ride a few kilometers every day....

While riding around I've befriended a couple of dogs who's owner's just upped & moved away....I stop and give them doggie treats, (one I carry some dry food for when I see him), give them a good pet, sit down next to them and rub/pet & talk to them for a few minutes ....They really seem happy for the attention + it makes me feel better for them....

They're nice & friendly dogs, it's too bad they've been cast aside....

Then I come home and hit our home gym for awhile....

Motorbike tours alone in Thailand and with friends in Europe.

Yes!  Just setting off on a solo motorcycle tour tomorrow.  Travel does not need to involve airports and stuffing cotton bud sticks up your nose.

I look forward to every day bringing a surprise, apart from the usual tasks I enjoy on the farm, never quite know what will occur from one day to the next ???? typical Thai lifestyle I guess, suits me I sleep easy ???? woke up the other day one of the cows had calved gave no hint at all! Day before trip into town son needed new jeans, day before that look around the elephant festival, today shifting some loose straw with the hand cart, fixing up a wind shield around the outdoor cooker.

We'll you get the idea, on rare occasions these days I get to go out and cycle a few klms to the local coffee shop, three trips to the farm a day keeps me in reasonable shape......just ????

Coffee.  Good coffee.  I think about my morning coffee when I go to bed at night.

I have no family left.  I really really like that.  Each to his own, of course.

where do you get that coffee and how do you make it?

Wake up and have the first coffee and kick off another boring day in paradise? On a two months travel now before heading home, and then kick off another trip somewhere. Eat food, go gym lifting weights, boxing, diving, motorbikes, wine, imported beef, beaches, one love, and money left after each month to save for <deleted> happens, that will happen

Another boring day, week and year to come

Waking up and thinking what the heck I was doing for 76 years and why.

Talking to / playing with my 3 Thai grandchildren, in English as much as possible to slowly build and reinforce their English language capability.

Watching them / encouraging them to help their parents (my Thai son and his Thai wife). Pushing them to respect and gain approval from their parents. E.g. 'grandfather can I have some ice cream (from the fridge at home)? My response 'you must ask mummy or daddy if that's OK, then I will help you to get the ice cream.

Making simple food with my 3 above, watching them build structured approaches to life. E.g. They  get the bread, margarine and Vegemite from the fridge, sandwiches are made but of course they walk away and everything is left all over the kitchen table. My response 'you can't eat the sandwiches until this job is finished, put everything back in the fridge, clean the table, put the cutting board and the knife in the sink. Slowly 'finishing the job' without pushing is making progress.

Helping my 8 and 9 yo grandkids to read simple words and small sentences, several times every day.

The grandfather position is actually hard work but it brings so much pleasure.

Watching them

Better Call Saul finale season

I've been dreading it.  They're probably going to kill off Kim, and Jimmy will bear the guilt of corrupting her.

On the other hand Lalo was not in BB, so they'll get rid of him.  And Nacho.

I look forward to covid travel restrictions being over and things going back to normal again!!

Though I have maintain a residence here a long time ,I never really stayed here a full year , I would always go back to work in the US or after I retired, travel to visit friends and family.

Not sure if it's me and I am a restless person , or if it's Thailand, I think it,s me , But I have been here for seven months now , I am getting restless. and some things about Thailand that never bothered me are beginning to .

So I am ready for a bit of R&R abroad , to recharge my batteries and a chance to miss and love Thailand again.

I was a part timer same as you for a good 11 yrs, retired just before covid. Anyway just spent 2 yrs solid here in Thailand. As you I was getting restless, recently left Thailand for a month. Couldn't wait to return to Thailand. In the US things just seemed different, tent cities everywhere, traffic was worse and seemed to move much faster, price of gas was horrendous, crappy motels were $100. minimum with weekend rates $150. was normal for a lower end room, fast food joints couldn't have seated dining because they couldn't find workers. As I returned to my somewhat boring (simple)  life in Thailand I give thanks.

"The Boys" has another season in 2022, and Amazon reports they also have season 4 in the works.

Living in everlasting hope that I will, one day, find another bottle of Bushmills Irish whisky, as I did once, long ago here,,, and as a bonus   a  bottle of   decent  wine, without  the "fruit juice added" sign on the label.

https://wishbeer.com/products/bushmills-irish-whiskey-700ml-400

Opening my evening can of beer and hoping it is drinkable.

God knows how they store some of them.

I would like to find a good gardener and a maid that speaks at least a little english ... very difficult on KKK island .

Busy all day ... up by 6am to bed by 9pm ... no time to be bored .

Sucking air for one more day and watching all the pissheads roaming the beach area looking for a stray dog!   Life is simple, roll on 2022! ????????????????

what is the password for downloading some?

In the spirit of goodwill at this time, of course

Look great.   Home made food such as this always seem to taste better.   Some crumpets I made for the first time yesterday.

Looking good, do you deliver?

Try them with a nice bit of Wensleydale.  Trust me, the rich fruit goes really well with the slightly milky sour taste - you can use Lancashire or Cheshire cheese as well.
