Anyone else bored of the bar scene and the beer drinking in Thailand? I feel deep emptiness and dissatisfaction.

Maybe Thailand is for people with sociopath tendencies, I feel no satasfaction here  hanging around bars and drinking alcohol anymore.

I find it boring.

no bored per se. I enjoy sitting on Soi 4 and just watching the world go by. I just feel a bit jaded after 17 years of it. Funnily enough i have a lot more fun sinking a few Leos and a couple of doobies with mrs Nik on a Saturday night.

I bet you'll keep doing it though because you're too late in life to change direction. Keep smiling!

Never to late to discover the true life and find your true nature. Good luck whatever it is.

Whatever I do, I get bored, and have to find new things, and new horizons, but boring is good to

The remedy to all problems in life is alcohol.  The standby remedy (in case the first remedy fails) is more alcohol.

Urban legend has it that this was one of the original eleven commandments but Moses was drunk at the time and left it behind.

Urban legend also has it that the one about not coveting thy neighbours wife was one of God's best practical jokes.

17 years on Soi 4. My god. In those 17 years I've gone from "The Soi 4 Days" to got married, had children, launched two businesses yadda yadda. If I looked back at those 17 years and then realised I was still on Soi 4, my god, my god :shakeshead:

I feel no satisfaction

Someone already complained about it and made a lot of money of it:

I can't get no satisfaction
I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try, and I try, and I try, and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no...

Never too late to change?Find a hobby and look for another type of crowd to

hang out with.

To be honest i did your scene but not very long, now i have a fantastic other,a bunch of hobbies

and there are not enough hours in a day.

Very popular right now is camping, get a small motorbike load a tent and a few other things and just go!

A change of horizon will do you good,no one can chance your life but you.

Been camping here for decades and like States it's really taking off here.

People can still eek out a bit of freedom away from the stupid hysteria over masks and covid.

Of course, OP is broke, has no hobbies and few interests. Can't travel to other countries but I imagine there's a lot of Thailand that he hasn't seen. With 40 million tourists not in the country and a lag in the economy I can't think of a better time to go have a look.

Lots of attractive young women camping as well. If you have any sort of camping or bushcraft skills being able to knock up a tent quick or hang a hammock... I literally met my wife by offering to sort out her hammock for her.

Some great national parks up country as well as islands in the Andaman

Or you can play video games, watch porn and continue to moan.

Do you sit on the same bar stall every night or do you change occasionally?  :cheesy:

i think i didnt explain clearly - I didnt mean continuously. in 17 years i did get married and have 1 son, work, hobbies, friends.....

Ive seen soi 4 over 17 years and have sat there from time to time watching the world go by. still do occassionally, but started to find it less enjoyable now.

As i said, i have more fun with the missis.

Having a couple of beers by the beach in the sun is very enjoyable, never get bored with that. But if that was the basis of your life then sure it will be boring. If you want boring try Doncaster UK on a wet, cold Monday night in January.

I get together with friends every Saturday and most Sundays at out favorite watering holes. I drink soda, just grew tired of beer. I may go back to suds if the mood hits. It's the camaraderie that counts. THAT part never gets boring.

Has this anything to do with your "intense anxiety" after wiping yourself out on Leo?
