ronster Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 So everyone packs in before that time ! Time is irrelevant.
KhunLA Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 How hard is it to simply start sipping early, if you must. I can see the Qs now forming at 1700 hrs...a sure sign you may have a problem.

thonglorjimmy Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 The same newspaper is now saying that alcohol cannot be served at all, not sure which version of their report is correct. 1

It says it’s a readjustment of the control measures, so I imagine the latter report may be accurate. 1 theoldgit
HappyExpat57 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Yeah, I remember every vacaction I ever went on. Each one I packed it in around 8:30 pm. Are the intentionally trying to kill tourism? 1
Charlie Halliday Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Yup 9pm should stop the covid spread. Cannot be spread during the day or up until that time. But between 9pm and midnight covid is rampant. Very very smart Govt. We are so lucky to have such great people watching over us. Amazing Thailand. Almost as smart a move as banning alcohol sales between 1 and 5pm in supermarkets. Pure genius. 1 1

Pure genius. can't stop the spread of covid but can curtail the infections caused by late night monger idiots jammed into keyhole bars. because most will drink at home if the bars close at 9pm. seriously, not rocket science, is it. 1

Bars are officially closed and according to media reports restaurants aren’t allowed to serve alcohol at all from tomorrow. I do agree with your view regarding some of those who maybe had a little too much to drink being a tad too boisterous. theoldgit

MrJ2U Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 10:00 would be reasonable in the circumstances. That's about what time everyone goes to bed in Hua Hin. 2

Both rules / laws are complete nonsense obviously. 1

BYO always works, simply fill your Yeti, with your favorite tipple and you're all set while munching at favorite restaurant. I actually do that quite often, whether vendors are serving or not, as they don't carry my brand. 1
Felt 35 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Do they make this up? So backwards????, the provinces, and cities like Phuket and Pattaya with the most infected can then still serve alcohol until......???? Felt
Petey11 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Does anyone know the exact rules in blue zones, still 12-2 but new time of 5-9pm? They sure like to make a confusion. Suppose it has to be published in the Gazette before it is official news.
