Rescue workers were notified of the accident at a lagoon in the Marp Pong sub-district just before midnight last night, January 10th, 2022. First response teams arrived at the scene of the accident to find the white sedan partially submerged inside the lagoon. It took more than one hour to pull up the sedan from the water which was about five meters deep by using a crane truck. The driver was uninjured, although soaking wet, and had managed to swim out of his vehicle to the shore nearby. bendejo Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 His buddy said "I bet you a thousand baht you don't have the guts to drive your car into the lake." Somchai steers toward the shore, steps on the gas and says "ha-ha, you lose!" 1

ezzra Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I'm sure that his insurance company will have a complete different take on his claim... 1 1
Popular Post jacko45k Posted January 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2022 Always 'not my fault'..... not looking where you were going is more the point, you imbecile! 4
Popular Post smedly Posted January 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2022 it was the lagoon's fault, if it wasn't there no way I'd have driven into it - I am not stupid lol maybe it was la' goon trying to drive 4

Of course its not his fault otherwise it would be expensive. This way he could still try to claim insurance. Besides how stupid would someone look if he drives into a lagoon and admits he was at fault. I am a total idiot when it comes to navigating and driving so i love GPS but I can't imagine doing something that stupid. Sure my GPS has send me up the elevated highway once when i was on my motorcycle. I quickly got off, this was in the time you did not have a motorcycle setting. 1
Popular Post Megasin1 Posted January 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2022 So the large expanse of water directly in front wasn't a big enough warning ? I would think the time of the incident was a big clue to the problem here, but you never know, being soaking wet may excuse you from a breathalyser ???? 1 1 1

Popular Post bdenner Posted January 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 12, 2022 The GPS is saying "Sai Sai (Turn left --- left)" Driver "I can't, my phone is in that hand!" 1 2
mikebell Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 A new excuse for moronic driving is born! Watch how many times it is used in the next few weeks. 1 1
Almer Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Ha ha ha, the only fault was he was looking at it not the road 2
Popular Post decca60 Posted January 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 12, 2022 Let's be honest...... this is some news. Normally the faulty GPS drives them straight into a power pole..... 1 4
bbko Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 If his GPS story isn't accepted by his insurance his next claim will be he blew his horn several times at the lagoon before crashing into it.
kwak250 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 On a recent trip to Chiang Rai i set the gps to go to a temple up in the mountains. Now this was crazy steep and a dmax was struggling in front of us and rolled back on a few parts . Wife went absolutely bat sh7t crazy and i did blame the gps as it turns out the other side was much easier. Saying that not sure how you could drive into a river unless the gps is connected to the throttle. 1
Henryford Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Actually you hear stories like this from all over the world. "The GPS told me to drive into the lake, so i did".
marcho Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 If the insurance company has any brains they will send someone there with the same GPS and see if it does indeed take him into the lagoon. If it dosnt, no payout!!! 1
Gottfrid Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Hey! Of course it´s not his fault. Everyone knows that you should keep your eyes on the GPS while driving. 2
Road Warrior Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 brain failure for driving and looking at GPS !!! well beats the norm BRAKE FAILURE !!!!
Tropposurfer Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Darn it! That pesky Google Maps has led me wrong again! I thought it just told me the glittering Mall was 200 metres straight on lol ????????
