Pattaya CONDO Rent 4000 thb or Pattaya HOUSE rent 5000 thb ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

It seems that what you were paying 10000 baht now costs 4000 or 5000 / month in Pattaya.

But do you know any condo for 4000 baht rent or house to rent for 5000/6000 ?

What have you found ?

Thanks

That is really the bottom level if also living centrally, else you likely look at the Thai property sites and get property matching it (in terms of houses). In terms of what can be found at this price level or just a little above is usually refurbished studio's and serviced apartments struggling.

Basically you would be asking around at the older apartment buildings and the like. I actually have a 'holiday studio' in Chiang Mai for just 4500 baht which is a refurb studio with brand new kitchen, bathroom, furniture etc. The building looks like <deleted>, most rooms are with Thais and unrefurbished, but once in my place it is like a new condo in Bangkok.

So yes, they can be found, I simply prefer having 3 places in 3 locations to enjoy the most.

Good deals. Just a few years ago, my condo on the BKK outskirts within walking distance of BTS, with pool, fitness, parking, security, was 8k baht.

Does it include such amenities?

R-con Buakhao, 4000 b/month.
Very good location, covered parking, large, somewhat old rooms, mini fridge, no kitchen.

That must be the covid rate.  They used to charge around 15k for a standard room I think.  It should be pointed out that any additional charges really add up at that place.  Like their high electricity charge.  It will probably add at least another 4k to that for a month stay with minimal aircon use.

Based on the rates they were charging pre-covid and considering how old and worn and musty smelling the rooms are, there is better value to be found.   For 4k with minimal aircon use it's ok value though.

I've seen central condos for 5k-7k, Base, Unixx, Novana Residence, on Facebook marketplace almost daily

Try advertising as a house-sitter. There are many farang owners, stuck abroad or unable to find tenants, who would be happy to have a responsible person occupy their vacant property, foc or for peppercorn rental, if you pay common fees, electricity and water.

If I were looking and planned to stay long time and found a place I really liked, I would try to commit for 2 years contract.  You can lock in a lower rate because I bet this place once it gets going again is going to see inflated housing prices as other countries are experiencing now.

Good advice.
