Pure deflection and an attempt to rebrand and remove the link to China.

Why are Chinese scientists in Wuhan meddling with bats from South Africa?

They say they discovered it in bats in South Africa no mention of where the bats came from but my guess would be the Wuhan Lab as that's the only place they allegedly found the last corona because they still haven't found where the last one came from, funny that!

Pump up the Fear-O-Meter baby.  2022 - the year of Variant-Fear Mongering.  They can keep this up until at least 2025.

It will probably not infect Thailand, as with Omicron as the whole world have tens of thousand cases a day,  Thailand only a few.... So don't worry be happy

I remember back in June 2020 when people all over our amphur, tambon, and villages were experiencing upper respiratory issues - sniffles, sore throats, and coughs that lasted anywhere from a week to a month or longer.
During that time the local hospital refused to test and just kept telling patients, "Go home, just a cold."

So the rest of the world has tens of thousands of cases a day and Thailand just a few thousand.  Humm.  ????  Ok.

it'll keep coming until we're wiped out

China can say these new variants and other viruses are found in other countries but in reality they're to blame for everything

Nuke China before it destroys the world

He claimed that scientists at the University of Wuhan had discovered it in bats in South Africa.

Sure, there's tons of deadly viruses out there.  The point is to leave them the <deleted> alone.  Don't get them into a lab and start seeing how you can mess with them.

What's with Wuhan and their obsession with deadly bat viruses?

Yes, a very good question, why are they doing this? Why is anyone doing this?

Isn't the answer obvious? They want to understand where the viruses are coming from and how they might jump species. Who would not want to know if the viruses can jump species to humans?

You'd prefer that the viruses just kept on coming and that we should not figure out how to stop them?

Financially supported by the National Institute of Health and Anthony Fauci's Institute of Allergy and Infectious Desease

AAAAIIIGHH!!!  AAAIIGHHH!!

Someone forgot the cream in my coffee.

That's my only worry today.  Did the doctor fall off a tractor and land on his head or something?

Apparently it's because Bats carry many viruses but don't appear to suffer illness from them. I have never done a study so don't know if that is true or not. Maybe someone else here does.

Who says they're going to keep coming?  If covid-19 hadn't been brought to Wuhan, we wouldn't be in the mess that we are now.  (And that's whether you believe a wet market or lab based outbreak.)

ironically meaning.... In Thailand everything is under control according to the Government but as you write by yourself.. The truth here is different

this is a virus in bats only, it has not crossed to humans, and without someone mucking about doing experiments will not cross over.

it's probably been in these bats for 1000's of years, just more hype... but if anyone can make it happen. the source of this article Wuhan could do it.

The virus carries the high mortality rate of MERS-CoV (where one in three infected people die on average) and the high transmission rate of the current COVID-19 virus.

In the same NDTV article that states this, it also says:

In its current form, NeoCov does not infect humans but further mutations may make it potentially harmful.

So if it doesn't infect humans - and it currently doesn't, then how can they state anything (with certainty) about its transmission or mortality rates in humans?

The short answer is, they can't. Those characteristics of a virus are not things that can be established from laboratory data.

Also, Fauci & Co., stop supporting and funding virus "gain-of-function" research in a totalitarian country like China! ????

Is it gain of research because rand Paul labelled it that or some other reason? If so, what is that other reason? NIH, who co-funded the research over ten years didn't think it was.
