Anutin latest: We are completely in control of Covid - even if things turn into an emergency

Didn't IO read in Asean Now either yesterday or this morning that the COVID alert level has been raised to 4 out of 5 from 3 out of 5.....suggesting that COVID rather than being totally under Anutin's control is in fact still rather dangerous and in fact a growing problem.

  • Of his narcissism !   What about the "emergency decree" still being in place ? That is where the (government) "complete control" comes into it !

  • He really is such an arrogant plick, as I have stated previously him and the truth are strangers he should not be in his current position and should be prevented from making any public announcements p

  • Talk about rewriting history. The Hero-General-Czar had this whole virus thing locked up single-handedly over two years ago. I certainly hope Anutin isn't trying to upstage the Supreme Leader and stea

How right he is! Who else than Anutin, the master of desaster, will completely control that things turn into an emergency.

Love it, the best oxymoron for ages

A priceless statement indeed.

Even by the high standards of complete incompetence established by this Clown.

Anutin Charvirakul told the Thai press yesterday that he is in complete control - even if things get worse when it comes to Covid

So relieved, I am.... NOT

How fortunate Thailand is to have such a clever, fantastic man as deputy prime minister and also health minister. He is amazing at everything he does and nobody is better than him. He deserves a medal or honour of some kind and imagine what he could do if he were the Primeminister!!! Wow!!!!

Why not just tell the truth and admit that no one can possibly ever control a virus,.
It's just outright ridiculous to even claim such BS!

We are are in control, we are in control, we are in control.... Talk  about brainwashing!

Didn't his boss use similar words just under a year back, just before April 2021 if I recall correctly then a cluster in downtown Bangkok where his cronies were drinking clarified that he had nothing under control relating to the virus.

He said something on the lines of, I have Covid 110% under control, not much difference to Anutin's claim, "that he is in total control"....lol

What a bunch of <deleted> all politicians are.

Thai friend who has Covid had to spend 6 hours queueing in a crowded hospital yesterday to get reams of medication and then went home for 14 days to isolate!

I have a Thai lady friend that did the same thing but she left the hospital with no medicine as they ran out.

Lies, there are 71,414 in real hospitals getting treatment with another 882 in ICU and a further 229 on ventilators. Thats not even counting the 102,191 in Field hospitals, Community care centers, hospitels or home isolation.

Part of the problem with "news" here, especially, is you never can quite be sure whether the public official actually made a stupid or wrong statement, OR, the competence-challenged media misquoted or mischaracterized what the person said.

I have no idea which is this case here, and the numbers you cite above certainly are correct.

The only alternative scenario I can throw out is.... about a week ago, MoPH had a chart showing that current hospital occupancy in Bangkok and surrounding provinces was heading north of 25,000 beds.

So, it's at least possible, that Anutin's comment was either said, or meant, in the context of the Bangkok region. And, as we well know, the central government types are prone to think of things in a Bangkok-centric context, since the rest of the country really doesn't matter as much (in their inherent thinking).

Just sayin... it's possible.

If completely in control then remove all restrictions and end the emergency decree

there were enough beds, enough meds and enough medical gear to cope

and there is also an abundance of red tape,  a whole lot of misunderstandings and an ample supply of hot air.

All you have to do is mix it all up, shake it and stir as usual.

I know that Thais do like to see a doctor for minor illnesses like colds, but why would anyone go to the hospital these days unless they had significant Covid symptoms?

Gaining control is when the number of cases decrease .  Not increase.

Because of the belief the medication may help them avoid significant symptoms. Plus its free for them rather than going to a pharmacy? Perhaps a wise decision.

There is competition in this government, the most stupid takes the prize.

Please stop doing reports on this man its a waste of reading

Just when you think he can't be any more deluded, he shows us that he can be.

Just keep your big mouth shut Anutin,  you tool.

Yeah even infection numbers are irrelevant! Actual numbers are really much higher, can multiply whit 10 or more.

"Anutin latest: We are completely in control of Covid - even if things turn into an emergency"

Translation:-

"Anutin latest: It's getting away from us - prepare for lockdown!"

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I would not trust someone who wears the fabric of a curtain. ????
