Opinion: Don’t go down the path of vaccine mandates, rather show anti-vaxxers for who they really are

I don’t believe in vaccine mandates. I don’t believe forcing someone against their will to vaccinate is something a democratic government should do.

However, if you are unvaccinated by choice, then you can live with the consequences.

The situation in 2022 is vastly different than the situation in 2021. Last year, you could not be faulted for being unvaxxed because the government failed to provide vaccines quickly and for all.

LMAO hope you guys enjoy your quarterly boosters.   Someone has to make sure Pfizer reaches their quarterly sales target.   No better feeling than being able to make my own health

  • I must just be lucky, as I completely ignored their 'get vccinated' advise.    Absolutely nothing changed in my life.   And my opinion of "just do it, because they told you to"

If I had the medical training and experience, perhaps. But I won't be doing my own surgery.

According to the Singapore stats (recently posted in another thread) there seems to be almost no consequences to the under 50s.

But would you make the final decision on whether or not a particular surgery is suitable?  What process would you go through to make that decision?  A mix of your own research and Dr recommendation?

Lets deflect from governments ineptitude and lets marginalise a small group of people

So you agree medical or Doctor's input is an essential requirement? Making decisions in a bubble or in mother's basement, or after reading bad sources of information is not.

From the link:

"A democratic and liberal government, and it is debatable whether we live under one right now, should not mandate or force people to receive something as personal as an intravenous injection."

Also from the link, although name calling, you just lost any little credibility you may have had:

"Show them for what they really are, a anti-science, anti-community group of selfish nitwits."

Depends what doctor you chose to listen to.  I always get a 2nd opinion.  Then decide for MYSELF.

It isn't essential, just something you can use.

Using these CDC stats I have made the decision to not get COVID injections.  It also doesn't help that protection wanes off within 6 months so you have to get continuous boosters.  They still haven't determined the end amount of boosters needed though.

Tell me why I should worry when I am not fat and have no medical issues at 30 years old.

Using the data I linked from when I downloaded it in Oct 2021, there would be a 99.849% survival rate for those 30-39 years old.

I disagree.... I personally have no medical training and say it is very much essential. Similar to the comment relating to a layman representing himself in legal matters, he has a fool for a client.

That is great.  You can have other people make decisions for you while others can decide for themselves.  Case settled.

Ah, so now you move the goalposts from their 'recommendation' to their 'decision'.... when did that come about?

Especially when one considers every medical student with the money to pay the course fees in Thailand becomes a doctor.

As does every retired Expat with a laptop I suspect.

So is this the Thai version of Schindler's List?

Because while your at it why not show all the other nitwits you have there for decades for what they really are?

Anti Science? I was diagnosed as needing surgery by Thailand's largest Hospital confirmed by Chiang Mai's highest placed specialist

Went back to the USA they laughed & that was seven years ago

Maybe this writer should clear the mote from his own eyes before trying to blind others with his science

PS: Yes I'm vaccinated but do not feel as though I should tell or in this case try to shame anyone to put anything in their body for any reason period. All the while expecting them to sign a liability release. Releasing the vaccine company from legal responsibility should it go pear shaped in a few years

A few vax shots and boosters seem like nothing compared to all the meds I've had to take over the years, what's the big deal?

Have to say that looks more like the anti vaxxers running back to their bunkers now that they see its them who have been dying in droves and clogging up the hospitals more so than the fully vaxxed

Depends on the expat.

I'm in the top 0.1% of the worlds intelligence.

If I were only average (or less), I might need more input from my betters.

Sadly, many of the 'lesser ability' posters assume everyone is at the same level as themselves.

And you are particularly knowledgeable wrt viral matters? Plenty of intelligent people lack other aptitudes. Anyhow, from your high horse you may miss details.

Your risk profile is that you are significantly at risk for winning a Herman Cain award.

Obviously I consult a doctor for advice when I encounter a new problem and am looking for ideas.

But in Thailand when they give me antibiotics to fight a viral infection it does make me go hmmmmmmmm .............

The issue on the table is not the competence of Thai physicians, but your opinion that you are more knowledgeable concerning the field of immunology than the world’s leading experts, who are nearly unanimous in recommending that you vaccinate.

So, you only care about surviving Covid, you don’t care about getting infected, not knowing because you are asymptomatic, and infecting others.

Nice.

I've no time or desire to try and convince others they're better off getting the vaccine, I'll let the Darwin Theory sort them out.
