Just days after getting back to Thailand after years stuck in France due to the pandemic a French man and his wife came back to their home in Prakhonchai, Buriram.

They arrived back Thursday last week and were have a welcome home party with relatives and friends in the front of the house.

All was happy as the drinks flowed and the Moo Katha was eagerly consumed.

Meanwhile they suspect that a thief slipped in via the back window, kept open by Mr Giles to get some airflow going in the hot weather.

Gone were 800 Euros, a diamond and wedding ring and a designer bag all coming to 400,000 baht.

Police captain Suthep Daengmeunwai of the Prakhonchai constabulary said that they were on the case and there were two miscreants in the frame for the blag at the farang's gaffe.

She must have gotten special and expensive lessons in France. This is an expert finger pointing. Straight, with an upper bend, as well as distinct and really marking the specific subject that is lost. Hmmm... however that now can be possible. Anyway, thanks for another pointing picture. It goes into my collection of more than 2 300.

Common sense when you have lots of guests over. Did they specify whether it was just lying on a table or hidden away?

There is a pic of the lady pointing to a coffee table..... I suspect it is a 'was here' moment. They were in a hurry to party ......

I see many, many properties around us have the same, ugly, grills fitted.

Is house crime really that bad?

I can't imagine most properties around us even have anything worth stealing.

Bloody stupid story.

The more I think about it, the more I think that this is an inside job.

Happened to a mate of mine, his wife got her friend, told him where the valuables were stashed and when they would be out.

Would love to hear how the story ended.. ????

That’s why I have one large safe bolted to the concrete floor down stairs and one small one bolted to the wall in the bedroom.

With the blager banged to rights after the heist by the sweeny todd ????

The moral of this story is don't leave money or valuables lying around

Provide a secure safe or put in a Bank deposit box ????

A lesson painfully learned

Exactly and can understand your point. In fact the window grills are more valuable then the rest of the house in some cases ????

Couldn't happen to me as I don't own any jewellery, and the most cash I ever have is 1,000bht.

Slim pickings if anyone robbed my house. The only money around is in my wallet. Mrs's Jewelry/gold is elsewhere.

Well don't come complaining when you get robbed.

Terrible but stated before extended family members lie through their teeth when a substantial loan but stating it was a gift and families money.
Same principles indeed but the guilty ones have property and drive top of the range cars.
Yes, they may well be lucky but yes watch out for extended family members and have the cheek to give you a wai at funerals!!!
