That's funny, daily infections and deaths seem to be reaching the same numbers as the Delta variant, with the health service stating many are on ventilators and those are expected to rise?

My bar girl training school seems like a good idea now. Just need to get a work permit. But would that be on the prohibited lists of work that foreigners can do?

Not according to Pornhub.

A new generation looking for easy, lazy, well paid, work-party environments will eventually find their way back to Pattaya.  It will just take time as too many restrictions still exist and the Thai government can't stop changing their minds on whether to open or close or even serve alcohol.  For the girls, I imagine it's not worth relocating yet.

The 'new generation' are running OF accounts, private line groups, marketing with twitter and getting far more money in 'easy, lazy, well paid, work-party environments' than before..

You may be right. Having said that, the online method has a fair bit of photoshopping and misrepresentation going on, by both girls and clients. Therefore, I think there will still be a demand for the bar scene, where a realistic assessment can be made, although perhaps not to the same degree.

I hope you are right because I'm a Brick and Mortar guy I like to touch the material first.????

And still get  surprised when she arrives in her street clothes, 4ft nothing, 38 Kg and sporting a hello kitty backpack!

My GF just told me that many of her friends have been getting YouTube videos sent to them in regards to recruiting for work in the bars.  Seems they want the 18-25 year old crowd and if older they are taking a pass on them.  Glad I am not a bar owner like a friend is down south.  At least he owns the complex and makes money from the key money he obtains from those who want to go into business and then takes a percentage of their coin by also charging a monthly rent.

Will the girls want to go back to working in bars ?

Some would have gone back to their village and gotton themselves a life there , job , kids , married or whatever .

Others would have continued their work using online sites for customers .

Others would have found alternative work  and the appeal of being a prostitute working in a bar may not appeal to any new girls entering the trade.

This may be the final nail in the coffin of Pattayas sex industry

If the tourism market for walking street comes back then you will see more girls come but right now there is very little incentive to move and become a bar girl.

As stated they can make more money online.

.is there really a shortage?

There might be a shortage of really beautiful girls as implied in the last sentence of the OP. (If Webfact can be what the woke would call racist, then I can be piggy sexist.) Or as others have said, the stunners have moved to other formats.

Most of the girls who were forced to go back to their villages due to COVID-19 are dying to get back to the bigger cities.

Once you see there's more than sitting around dusty and dirty Issan villages anything is better.
