All just foil.

Yellow looks good however. Seems to be the same color they offer here for the MG5.

Pink, no comment....

Would love to see the MG4 from stock with the orange color they have on offer in Europe

Neta V have a stock pink colour, a little less shocking but still pink !

Read a FB post today about someone ordering the orange Trophy MG4 in the U.K., they got a delivery date in September ! , very much in demand.

Confirms what I saw in an article from Australia saying that the Han and Tang would not be coming to RHD countries. Only cars using the new platform such as the Seal and Dolphin.

Wonder what this fella was doing in Bangkok ?

Good question- the article I read was about a year ago so plans may have changed.

I do hope the Tang and Han come to Thailand, the more options the better.

Yes i agree.

There isn’t any info on the FB post i got the photo from, someone just spotted and posted it. Of course it has caused some speculation split between “ available here now “ and “ this guy spent a lot shipping it here “ !!

The only thing putting me off the MG 4 is the low ground clearance. I don't think it would cope well with Bangkok's flooding in the rainy season.

Ground clearance unladen / laden (mm) 150 / 117

If I lived in BKK or somewhere prone to constant flooding, I'd give serious thought to keeping an inexpensive ICE pick-up close by.   I wouldn't drive m ZS ICE through floor board high water last time up at Future Park mall, and waited inside at restaurant till it subsided.  Took about 1 hr.

Amazed people drive through that, and actually surprised none stalled out.  Would suck not having the option of not driving in bkk's flooded roads, or anywhere.

BYD showrooms popping up in Central Thailand now:

Heading north from Rangsit you will encounter dealerships being built in Phra-In (in between Bang Pa-In and Navanakorn), Ayutthaya, Ang Thong  and Lopburi.

Strangely they have a partnership with Susco gas stations and are calling themselves BYD Susco Beyond.

Word on the street is the Seal is hoping to achieve over 100k km on its visit here at around 2k km a day.

2 Chinese engineers accompanying the Thai driver ( hopefully there is more than one !! ) who was part of the team that drove the Atto 3 for 160k km recently.

Can't wait. The earlier it comes here, the better. I need a new car in the next months...

Big price increase for the new MG EP - now called MG ES (called MG5 everywhere else) - apologies if this has already been posted

What platform used for the MG ES (MG 5)? If still no dedicated EV platform, I'd opt for the MG 4 or BYD Atto 3.

Short question: Does the current MG EP or previous version have adaptive cruise control and traffic jam assist? Or just plain cruise control (setting speed only)?

previous version has plain cruise control but the navigation shows congestion (google maps clone I think), new version has adaptive cruise, lane keeping niggling etc

I think it would have to be 100k less than the MG4 to stand a chance.

The regular boot size is only 9 litres bigger than the ZS EV and when you fold the seats down they are far from flat and leave a large step, awkward if trying to load long objects.

As a car I think it looks nice and the specs are good but as an estate ( which is its biggest selling point ) it is disappointing.

New version = MG ES or the facelift of the MG EP?

Because as far as I know there are no cameras or radar sensor in the MG EP, hence I don't think it has adaptive cruise control

Yea, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the new models' pricing.

Ora Good Cat seems to be no longer offered in Tech trim version. Just Pro, Ultra and now GT

Was in Bangkok on Saturday to pick up the stepdaughter and bring her back to PKK, went to do a bit of bulk shopping at Tops Club and in the parking lot hooked up to one of the EV chargers was a Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV, wonder what that set the owner back as it had to have been just imported, it had a red plate on it so I know it was brand new 2023 model. Whomever owns it definitely has some pull.

New version EP+ is called the ES.  The ES does have all the fancy tech which if it's anything like the MG4 is a PITA.
