Someone said something, not enough brown envelopes or someone very upset. That was a well run place and it looked like it.One of many probadly, make them legal  the gov win and rich thais will  not need to go to borders in cambodia. How many illegal casino,s they want,I  knew one in cnx, controlled by the mafia and the pay offs to let it remain open. That was yrs ago and always full of local thais,it did close in time, but the gov needs to wake up with what other parts of the world do with gambling.

BIG score for the cops....!

No doubt the tables taken will be put to very good use...and Thb 4.7Mio is a very sweet bonus!

And the winner of the game is the higher ranks of the RTP ????

I am shocked!

How long did it take the BiB to discover this casino?

Another example of the great RTP making the nation safer and fighting real crime.

AKA "we didn't get our share. How dare you commit a crime without our profit participation!"

Well there was a bad loser around  or the brown envelopes did  not have  enough in to the right people ????

A good day for the RTP ????

"A total of 4,356,700 baht in cash was seized."

So what happens to the seized cash?? LOL

Did they get a receipt?

You seem to be quite a liberal when it comes to gambling Steven, I thought you were against anything against the law? Some of us can move our principals to suit our mood it seems

Don't they know that the only way a casinos becomes legal is when the government's owns them. And that's in every country.

I think Casinos are fine ... they bring in tourists and they bring in taxes.   Bangkok & Pattaya should have had 5 star hotel / casinos by now.   imo

Well it will be used as consumable expenditure for the following :

xmas party

new 4x4 pickup

holiday in Paris

gifts for friends

bonus for staff at the station

just like weed make gambling legal already, designated control area

Putting money on a baccarat table is a complete waste of your hard earned - or creamed off = money.

Now, Escalado is a different matter !!

Got a feeling th at a few more high up cops are going to get the boot over this one.  no way you operate like t his and the police don 't know

This will probably end up like weed, legalize it and release all the gamblers.

And in places like Macau they also brought in some very lovely 5* croupiers so suitable staff recruitment in Pattaya/Bangkok would not be an issue

The headline "Thirty eight foreigners and 14 Thais ......"; wondering why 38 was written in letters?

They made 52 arrests of gamblers playing the card game baccarat - 14 Thais, 22 Chinese, 14 people from Myanmar and two Malaysians.

Does that mean, that the dirty farang made a runner in time, some boys did not receive their envelopes or was some dirt thrown between the non-existing gambling dens? Asking for a friend ....

Not a small set-up.

Someone knew this was going on and turned a blind eye.

The question should be how long have they allowed it to go on?

Now I am even more confused.

I thought recently they fired all those corrupt cops. Are there more of them?

Must be getting desperate after 2+ years of economic hardship.

Those mia nois are needy.

I agree with your views . The contradiction is that horse racing and betting on the outcome , 2 lotteries , cock fighting and betting are all allowed ?  I reckon Bingo would be a big hit in Thailand ,, especially with the ladies . Betting on line is possible and I make a regular trip to Cambodian casinos

BC, Before Covid, when the annual fair came around the villages, they all had a Bingo stall though not for money prizes.

this is how it should be. Thailand would be as boring and depressing as the West if it was otherwise.
