Well, this is an easy one.  Nobody anywhere ever inspects the finished work before final payment--whether it's new sidewalks in Pattaya or a parliament building in Bangkok.

Somebody paid for the ranch, the private airport in Khao Yai, apart from letting him get away with ministerial government statements like "dirty farang" and "alien".

Well, here the dirty farang - for once - cannot be blamed; not too sure about the "alien".

You are hopefully aware that the same enterprise, pure co-incidentially of course, built the Suvannaphoum airport and during the co-owner's reign in the health ministry among the junta executives, got another little order inked for the extension of the airport worth anything between 50 - 60 billion (not million) Baht.

Mysterious are the ways of the East - wonders never seize!

They should look into why Sino- Thai was chosen.

Anutin, the "Health Minister" was once the president.

"He  was the President of Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Co., Ltd during March 1995 – June 2004.  He also served as the Director to the Federation of Thai Industries and Thai Contractors Association Under H.M. the King’s Patronage."

Former Democrat MP Watchara Petthong is seeking answers from the office of the secretary-general of the House of Representatives about how it can accept the delivery of the 12 billion baht parliament building from its builder, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company, despite its many defects.

That's easy.

Personal financial gain, full stop !

Surely you can't suspect any shenanigans with a company where our Health Minister is a director?????

Arun Laipongpaew, why the House secretariat had not reported these defects to the public and whether people who visit the exhibition hall will have to wear crash helmets for their safety.

Classic!!

That's almost exactly what I was going to say. They've got to kiss the hand of the Chinese companies and contractors.
