Thai Researchers Test ‘Elixir of Life’

BANGKOK, July 25 (TNA) – Researchers at Chulalongkorn University are testing the world’s first rejuvenating genes it calls “Rejuvenating DNA by Genomic Stability Molecules” or RED-GEMs.

 

The RED-GEMs innovation was developed to reverse cell aging. It resulted from a research of the university that has continued for over two decades.

 

The research found that DNA gaps maintain DNA strength but the gaps decline when people grow old. As DNA is destroyed, people age and suffer from chronic diseases such as hypertension, osteoporosis and dementia and their repair mechanism deteriorates.

 

RED-GEMs are inside DNA and generate DNA gaps. Cells will have stronger DNA and aging will stop and be reversed if they receive RED-GEMs.

I googled Rejuvenating DNA by Genomic Stability Molecules  there seems to have been lots of research going on in numerous countries for a decade and more.

 

I hope the Chula boffins ask for human guinea pigs. I will volunteer.

In other news : Research on how to create pandemics to prevent over population has continued for 2 decades.

Potential use is  for dementia, Alzheimer, cancer and many other difficult to treat conditions. And for prophylactic for those.  

After testing on monkeys, human clinical trials might start in 2024.

They say this technology is not complicated, and not expensive. Unlike stem cell technology, which runs in thousands $ per dose.

If they don't sell patent to this medicine to some international company, there is a chance that locally produced one will be affordable. And might become a boost to thai medical care and medical tourism.

The other potential use is in cosmetics and in agriculture (animal food production). So at some stage it might become as a food supplement rather than controlled prescripted medicine.

Part of this research is related to detecting cancer from white blood cells.
