Daily News featured a story about a well known celebrity called Phraiwan Wannabutr or Perry.

 

Perry now a glamor model and ladyboy used to be in saffron robes as a monk called Phra Maha Phraiwan.

 

Then after defrocking she put on a frock.....and started wowing the TV world and business circles.

 

There was something of a drama online after she bought a brand new BMW and paid in cash.

 

Some people wondered where she got the money from.

"I work hard every day," she said online. "Doing 4-5 jobs selling everything from durian to nam phrik.

 

"Why can't I pay in cash? When I was tired and working my way up no one batted an eyelid.

 

"Save your surprise for all the hard work I've put in".

Perry said that her BMW was like a second home to her, she would use it for all her work assignments and even eat in it.

 

She apparently paid 3.6 million baht for the Bimmer showing two cash transfers from her Krung Thai account to Barcelona Motors on Wednesday. She is listed as a "mister" on bank details.

 

She also took time to thank her many fans who she said love her dearly.

When I read that somebody pays millions in cash (meaning physical money), it leads me to believe that this might be income from illegal sources (to not leave traces the person didn't deposit it in their bank account).

But the person in the article just transferred the money from their bank account and didn't pay cash.

My speculative guess would be a large portion was donated from his former parish.

Wasnt high enough to amass the gold bullion/land and helicopters of others, cashed out early.
