Send a picup truck from Phuket to Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Is there a way to send a  pickuptruck to someone in chiang mai? I dont want to drive it there myself. How can it be done? A transporter service or pay someone to drive it there?

Thanks

You and the pickup are in Phuket?

I don't see another useful chance but finding a driver.

And of course I would drive with him/her except it's a completely trusted person.

(you are single? no Thai partner)

A thousand miles (1600 km).

Even as a two day trip quite straining.

Fly back.

From your post it sounds there is no option for the person in CM to fly to Phuket and pick it up?

Haha

I need to send it there for some  work to be done  to it. Ill have to drive it back here as well. I dont want to do the trip twice.

If there was a transporter company charging 10k or similar to send it i would do it. Possibly send it back as well

I would break it into a 4-5 day trip.  Two day trip would be exhausting, especially all those kilometers through flat and boring Issan.

If going via isan, you made a wrong turn.

You need a serious update on Thai geography.

My wife confirms that!

Much more pleasant drive than monotonous rice fields.

Two day trip is easily doable, about 19-20hrs all in. Done it a number of times in my Vigo. Budget 10K for fuel and accommodation. You probably won't spend that much, but it buys lots of refreshing cold beers on arrival.
If you pay someone, delete the beer and add on their fee and return airfare.
