Popular Post snoop1130 Posted October 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 12, 2022 The Pattaya police force took self-drug tests at the police station to, according to them, show their integrity in performing their duties, establish trust, and set a good example for citizens and tourists. The idea came from Police Chief Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai, but has also been a national focus after a tragic mass shooting last week in Nong Bua Lamphu. The chief had all police officers take a rapid drug test at the Pattaya police station to ensure that every officer, no matter if they were on duty or not, was clean from all types of drugs. Pol. Col. Kunlachart said: “Every officer must take a drug test to find if there are any illicit substances in their urine before starting duty.” Full Story: https://thepattayanews.com/2022/10/12/pattaya-police-force-go-through-drug-tests-to-according-to-them-set-a-good-example-for-citizens-and-tourists/ -- © Copyright The Pattaya News 2022-10-12 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. BritScot Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Wow! An independent test, I think not. Going through the motions means nothing. Been there and done it in the army with an alcohol test. The person testing told me don't worry its not on....... 1 1

Popular Post Aussieroaming Posted October 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 12, 2022 Too bad there isn't a blood test to detect corruption, or one to detect extortion, or another to detect propensity to torture.....etc etc. Then the police could have a blood test that covers the full suite of potential police crimes. 5 1 9

4MyEgo Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 OMG did anyone see what I just saw, at least 3 people in that photo not wearing masks, they should be checked out 1st, must be on drugs ???? 1
Popular Post Andycoops Posted October 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 12, 2022 A total joke from the keystone cops. The word 'self' sums it up completely as it's a self service institution. 3 2

Popular Post dallen52 Posted October 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 12, 2022 It's a bank account test they all need. Terrible corruption in the whole force. 3 2 2

IAMHERE Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Who avoided the tests? Day off for ANY reason except hospitalization. 2
ChrisY1 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 A lot of negative comments...however, this is a start..it's something that is being done about drugs in the cops. The article says "in their urine before starting duty"....I doubt we'll hear any further on this.....I also doubt it will continue...but, Pattaya has done it's job....well...in the Pattaya cops minds! 1
mikebell Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 How much notice was given? Pattaya Plod's problem with integrity is such that most do not believe any thing good that they attempt. This test will go the way of the helmet crack downs that they periodically attempt once in a blue moon.
brianthainess Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 were they obseverved while uranating ? or could they just give a clean sample. It should be random checks as in OZ at the mines etc. 1

kingstonkid Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Credit where it's due. At least they are trying. Even if they brought in special international doctor to test people would complain 2
Jaxxper Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I think it’s a good step. Perhaps all police should be initially independently tested , then a random selection across the force say monthly going forward be made and independently tested. Depends how serious they are about preventing drugs in the BIB. Just a thought.
goldenbrwn1 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I’m no doctor but I’m pretty sure most substances excluding MJ (which is now legal) won’t show up in urine after a few days. Pointless exercise anyway just more Asian face show . As the poster said above , controlled random tests would be far better. But thats sensical and will catch some out, so not going to happen.

Bday Prang Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Surely as a more relevant response to last weeks incident they should be testing those who had recently been dismissed from the police . This is nothing more than a knee jerk reaction publicity stunt, are inhouse drug tests normally conducted in front of the press ? No of course not
