I would rather see the abuser in prison for the abuse, rather than see my wife in prison for what the court would condemn as an unjustifiable murder, if she killed her after the fact. Which this appears to be part of the issue, the parent found out after the abuse occurred. On the other hand, if my wife were catch the woman during the commission of the abuse and the abuser happened to die as my wife was protecting the our grandchild from physical harm ... that could be a different matter, as has happened here in the U.S. of A.! -

Leaving USA ? Be aware of 30% tax....
That is one factor that would determine residency requiring a return. You could challenge it at an audit using bank accounts abroad, foreign leases, time out of country, etc. It's probably easier to just close those accounts and get a bank account in a state with no state tax, like Nevada or Florida. You would need a street address in that state to open the account though and prove it with a state id, etc. -

Interesting that you automatically beleive that the Thai was defending himself with a batton... and you will not for one second condier that the Brit was a victim of an assault and this might have been instigated by a Thai who lacked the emotional tools to handle a conflict without escalating to violence. Really ?? A poll on a forum makes drink driving acceptable ?? You stupidly think that surrounding yourself with other idiots is some form of scientific measure to justify your attitudes towards drink driving. If you posted a 'flat Earth poll' and 75% of idiots voted that it was flat not spherical, that doesn't make it flat !!! Your poll was fundamentally flawed in the manner that it was 'loaded' and lacked a 'balanced middle ground' option. Kind of like polling and asking the question "have you ever tried Marajuna", and then jumping to the conclusion that everyone is dope-heads becasue so many people have tried it... I think you cannot see that, because you are so locked into your bias that drink driving is somehow acceptable and the global stats, world wide governments and every scientific test regarding impairment are somehow wrong and you are right because you 'think' you are ok to drive after 10-12 pints... -

Fidelity has a few options. Does he not have a US passport/citizenship also? Fidelity will let you open a joint account with an minor as well, which is pretty easy. How old is he? If you have earned income and he works at all, you might want to open a Roth for him. -
