I have previously read that this is a 'far right wing' conspiracy theory almost everywhere in the world and people were being banned by the various platforms, like Twitter, Facebook, etc for even mentioning it.

What changed?

An off topic deflection post about Jared Kushner has been removed,  this topic is about:

Sorry, no more whatabout-ism.

About Hunter, if he were merely a scheming loser that would be fine. But it seems that he did more than just involve his family name in his sleazy scams. He actually involved his family- his father, uncle. etc.  That deserves scrutiny.

For example, the President has said on numerous occasions that he never spoke with his son about his son's shady dealings, not even once. Yet they often shared meals, flights, etc. It beggars belief that the VP and his son would take a 16 hour flight on Air Force Two to China and not even broach the subject of why Hunter was making the trip.

Sure.  The conversation could have gone something like this:

Joe Biden:  Son, if you're going to China on business, we shouldn't talk about it.

Hunter Biden:  Right.

This may surprise people who have never been in government, but the smart government employees know there are some topics that are off-limits for conversation.

Too funny.  It's been two years since the election and the right wing nutters are still at it.  So what do we know today that would incriminate Hunter Biden?  He's been investigated this entire time and still nothing.  But even if they found something, what does it have to do with Joe?  None of this would have changed the outcome of the election.  I recall Trump wanting Durham to find something before the election.  Wouldn't have mattered.  Or if they would have rolled out the COVID vaccine sooner.  Wouldn't have mattered.  Or if Ukraine had announced an investigation.  Yeah right.

To be honest, I think they are two separate issues- the allegations against the Bidens, and the treatment of the laptop story by the syncophants in media/tech.

The latter is absolutely true.  There was a blanket thrown over the story by every media outlet (with few exceptions). Facebook deliberately downgraded the story in its algorhythms.  Twitter banned and blocked anyone who mentioned it, including the New York Post.  Remember that they even drummed up a panel of so-called intelligence experts to decry it as having all the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign?  Slimebuckets like James Clapper and John Brennan and Michael Hayden. Not true, yet none of them have been called to account over it.

So, there are many pics on there, phone recordings and videos. Old Hunter loved taking pics of hookers and drugs and keeping them. He is as the Big Guy calls Hunter, "the smartest man I know"

Yeah, Hunter is a sleaze and father's rarely acknowledge when their sons are sleazes.  That's not a crime.

Yeah, it's almost like the press didn't want to cooperate in a political party's "October surprise" campaign with unverified information and no evidence of a candidate doing anything illegal.   How sad.

McIsaac gave the laptop to the FBI who did absolutely nothing with it. *wonder why!) It was then he became frustrated and gave a copy to RG. The dishonest tactics the media and DOJ used trying to cover this up still leaves me disgusted. Metadata, hacked materials, Russian disinformation, nothing about Joe in there. Disgraceful.

At that time, it had all the appearance of a Russian disinformation: an unbelievable story (a laptop forgotten in a repair shop owned by a right wing guy), Giuliani as a messenger (with a track record of propagating Russian disinformation), and the information only given to the NYPost.

As soon as the other media got a copy (ex WaPo), they inspected it and reported about it.

Many GOP reps are afraid of overreach. They are going to make the same mistake as 2020 and 2022.

Counting on the, “Freedom Caucus” to do just that.

The media and social media websites "slow rolled" the story to avoid it having any impact on the 2020 election. But it was true.  Lately it has sloooooowly been undergoing increased scrutiny yet seems to check out in all aspects. Remember that certain platforms BANNED people who linked to the story or even referred to it.

There has rarely been a better example of election interference- the press and social media giants both acting in concert to squelch a story that would damage a Democratic candidate.

Between them FOX News and the Sinclair Broadcast Group (owner of CBS where the news item of which this thread is the subject) have a combined viewership and listeners than any other news source in the US.

So for this conspiracy of silence of yours to be true ‘somebody’ must have also prevented Fox News and the whole of the Sinclair Broadcast Group TV and talk radio stations from mentioning this story.

I have some advice for those swallowing this ‘laptop caper’.

If on arrival into the US from overseas your suitcase goes missing somewhere between you dropping it off at baggage drop on departure and the arrival baggage carousel, but somehow turns up months later in the hands of someone else who claims it contains evidence of crimes.

Don’t panic, hire a competent attorney who will very easily demonstrate that there can be no proof that you are responsible for anything illegal found in the suitcase, even if some none illegal stuff in the case is indisputably yours.

This is especially so if it is known that anyone who handled the suitcase has reason to want to discredit you and your family.

Just get an attorney, buy a new suitcase.
